136 reviewsI got caught in Copacabana during Covid19, so I walked all around the town checking out hotels and am beyond happy I got to stay at Hotel Lago Azul. I stayed there for a month and could not get enough of the view from the hotel balcony (and room) looking back at one of the prominent hills of the town and sweeping out towards the daily sunset on the horizon. Magical memories. The staff are from one family. They were really making sure I would be alright during the crisis, offering to get food for me, supplying me with masks and gloves and helping me to arrange documents to get to La Paz eventually. I can't thank them enough, and wish I was still there! There is a daily breakfast included. The internet was very fast and stable. It can be cold being the highest lake in the world, but there is heating available and the showers are hot. You step out the door and the lake is very close, it's one of the few hotels in town being that close to the lakeside.
