If I could give the Sandpiper a 10-star rating, I would! The exterior of the property is both beautiful and impeccably clean. We loved the grassy area where we often gathered with friends. The pool is sparkling and refreshing. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious, and the kitchen was incredibly useful. The staff is both helpful and friendly. Although our room was located on the roadside, we couldn't hear any noise. The location is also very convenient, centrally situated to both sides of the island. I highly recommend purchasing a bus pass, as the bus stops are very close to the hotel. Many thanks to my friend Janet for discovering this gem of a place to stay!

Great Experience

Perfect location being half way on the island. 
Very clean apparent and the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. 
Kitchen facilities are great. 
2 double beds. 
Lovely little bathroom. 
As we went out of season the weather was sunny yet very windy with rain showers so we didn’t utilise the pool. 
It is on the main road of the island and traffic is passing at all hours, though it is bearable . 
Very good bus route with a bus stop Outside. Pink stop goes towards Hamilton. Blue away from Hamilton. If you use the buses buy the multi pass from the tourist place in Hamilton. 
Locals are so very friendly and helpful. We have never found such a friendly island in all our travels. 

Would 20000% recommend Bermuda the sandpiper.

Perfect location! Clean and cute

This is a hidden gem on a pricey island.  The Sandpiper are guest apartments which include a living area, small kitchen that is fully equiped and a bedroom with two queen beds.  The rooms were very clean and had everything you need.  We were greeted by Moira who could not have been more accomodating and pleasant.   We had a one bedroom which had cable TV's in both the living room and bedroom, air conditioning and a full kitchen set up.  It is right on a bus line and within walking distance to a restaurant.    There was housekeeping serivce every other day but Moira is always available if anything is needed.  
This is not a luxury hotel but the price is also about 1/4 or less of what you would pay in the larger hotels on the island.     I really enjoyed talking to the other visitors and staff for a true Bermuda experience.  

A  wonderful Bermuda  Experience 

Great apartment with everything you need at an affordable price for Bermuda. The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to ensure your stay was pleasant. The apartment was immaculately clean. Located close to a mini supermarket and restaurants, eating out or in is within walking distance. You can of course order food in. A bus stop is located within a 2 minute walk which will take you into Hamilton ($5-$8 per couple depending if you head to Hamilton or Harbour) with plenty of stunning beaches on route. A most enjoyable stay and would return. Would recommend bus to Harbour and take ferry to Hamilton $10 each, but try and avoid getting ferry after lunch as can be full with passengers from Cruise Boats.

Excellent Place

These guest apartments were clean, well furnished and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The location is one the same street as some well known and loved beaches of Bermuda, and one of the Swizzle Inn locations is within walking distance. It’s also on a bus line. There is a gas station close by and we went there on the first day to stock up our kitchen.

I will definitely stay here again..as a matter of fact, I’m booked again for next year. ❤️

Great price, excellent location and lovely hosts

We had a huge distress with this place, someone made a mistake and costed us our first day of vacation.

We booked trough Booking.com and we scheduled our check in arrival to 11:30pm, we arrived exactly at 11:35 pm and there was absolutely nobody to check us in.

There was a phone box on the wall with 3 number to call in case we needed to contact the reception but it wasn't working at all, completely mute. We bother a guest called Amy, she told us there was no Wi-fi on the apartments and she has tried to reach the reception all night and there was nobody there. She call them on our behalf and left a message in our name telling them we were there.

It was raining and we had to walk to a bar next door called The Swizzle Inn and they were kind enough to call again and the waitress Ebony also left a message. Once we realized there was no other option we started to call every other hotel in the Island find a place to spend the nigh, at this point was 1am and since was a holiday weekend we couldn't find another place. We were offered to spend the night at the waitress house and we had to accept. Luckily the last place we tried to call had a room and we took that for almost double the price we were able to spend.

On the next morning we called the Sandpiper apartments and the receptionist insisted that all we had to do was just pick up the phone on the wall and call, she got the messages from both Amy and Ebony so they were aware of how much we tried to reached out.

We still don't understand how that can happen, we scheduled our arrival and they knew we were supposed to be there. We don't even need to mention how disappointed and frustrated we were.

We decided to stay the other 2 night in the resort that received us at 2am and our trip was awesome after this terrible first night.

I wish we have stayed, the review were great and the place charming.

Awful experience

I stayed in an apartment with 2 double beds, a bathroom and a large fitted kitchen. The rooms were large and had everything I needed. The kitchen/diner had all the up-to-date equipment and everywhere was spotless. Plenty of wardrobe space and 2 large chest of drawers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back.!

Wonderful

Our first visit to Sandpiper Bermuda was in September, this time in May the weather was nearly as good and certainly less humid which suited me better. Also saw different flowers out and loads of Longtail birds sweeping over the sea which was great.
Sandpiper was as comfortable as before, the beds and pillows are  superb.
Last time we were in an upper room overlooking the road which I found very interesting watching the variety of traffic go by, the kids in school uniform, the smart business men  and cool teenagers zooming along on their scooters. This time we were in the apartment below and as our knees are 2 years creakier! it was probably for the best. It was good to get to the sun loungers and pool easily but I missed the balcony at times.
The pool is great for adults that want a quick dip after a day out on the scooter,not so good for little children as very deep. We had it to ourselves most times we wanted to cool off.
  The staff are very pleasant and efficient, room service every day except Sunday produced tin opener when we asked for one. Equipment all works well, no baking trays in oven but we improvised. Forgot to ask for one next day. Bathroom quite small but good shower.
 Guests are mostly couples or with babes or families meeting up, not really a place for teenagers who want entertainment.
  This time the road noise seemed louder, think the sound drifts down and you haven’t got the visual interest of watching it at the same time. Also there was a container depot across the road!  Some other guests told us it appeared shortly after they arrived. 
Not brilliant to have crains and heavy equipment moving trailers around , don’t know if that’s a permanent addition!
They were only active at odd times so just got used to it.
To sum up, Sandpiper is a very good base for the beaches and has a great garage close by for essentials and tasty take away food. Swizzle Inn is in walking distance and by self catering most meals it makes Bermuda possible, be prepared...its expensive eating out.

2nd Visit

The Sandpiper is one of the more affordable places to stay in Bermuda, which is overall expensive. Our little apartment was clean and the staff were friendly, and the grounds well kept. The kitchen was mostly adequate, and pleasantly large, and the little porch was a lovely spot for breakfast, coffee, wine, and birdwatching. The grounds are pretty. Beds and pillows comfortable.
The pool was being painted and was not available for use, which was very disappointing. The property is much closer to the road than we imagined, so it was noisy. The kitchen did not have a pot big enough for pasta, a cutting board, or reasonable knives.
Sandpiper is located about halfway along the south road, not far by bus from beaches and maybe halfway between Dockyards and Hamilton. Bus stops are nearby but groceries require a trip.
