nice place, old restored farm with an excellent restaurant that serves great steak
the price is mid range but you get excellent quality of products i will definatley recommend this place to families , you can visit hasselt or tongeren that are nearby

This isn't a review for the hotel, we just went to their restaurant for the steaks.
These are by far the best steaks I've had. The menu is simple and obviously everything is about meat. There are no appetizers or dessert on the menu, but after ordering they give you a choice between 2 appetizers. The prices are on the high side compared to other places around Hasselt but well worth it, and not overly expensive either.

They offer most steaks in 2 varieties: normal (400g) and maxi (600g). They're served with fries and a simple salad.. But that's all we needed since the meat is the reason you go there.

Very friendly staff, fast and good service. Extra sauce, fries, ... all included in the price.

This is a review about the restaurant. Already went twice, it's a 30min drive from my home but it's worth it. You will need a reservation in the weekend because the place is packed. Staff is very friendly you get a starters and a dessert from the house, so it's not expensive at all, most main courses are meat by different sizes and perfectly grilled.

A friend of mine brought me to De Wimmer for dinner.  The atmosphere was cozy and the steaks were great!  The entire meal was great.  We had a romantic dinner by the windows overlooking a small inner court.  Afterward, a drink at the bar was nice. The decorating of the bar was unique. Lot's of old memorabilia.
