Nice quiet clean and beautiful even though it is old guest house. The owners are so friendly and caring. I enjoyed with my husband. There is bus stop and shops available near by. The shuttle service in the morning to center is convenient. 

Ski trip

This old and landhaus is situated about 2 km from city and ski centre, which means if you want to be able to get around you defenately need a car. However the skibus is departing just a 100 meters from the doorstep. But going out at night might be difficult. 
The rooms were okay as for furniture and tv (containing 100 of channels, but only a few open for viewing), BUT because of only single layered windows it was terribly cold, and during night it became almost unbearable. 
Breakfast was average, no real juice and cold coffee... 
And to add to everything, the train passes once every ½ hour - which makes it pretty difficult to get a good night sleep, if you're a light sleeper..
So all in all, not impressed and that good and experience.

Not impressed.

A peaceful Alp pension with a very good service a little bit outside (1,5 km) the center of Bad Gastein. The distance was no problem, because the pension has an own transportation service in the morning to the center and to the main cabin lift. Also ski buses go by the pension to both directions, Sport Gastein and center. It was also nice to walk to the center along the small river side near by.
The restaurant Schafflinger Alm is may´by the most genuine Alp restaurant that I have ever seen. And with a chance to dance adult people´s dances. The service was also excellent and rapid. The food was good and the portions were "men´s" portions.
