Very clean, loved the little extra's that were provided, breakfast items, cereal, eggs bread, butter, jams and spreads,bacon, juice, tea & coffe.Lovely clean bathroom with large spa. Linen excellent quality. Just one tiny suggestion sugar could have been provided.( maybe this was just forgotten on this occasion.

Lovely place to stay, in a lovel area

Bubbles in the spa and local Pinot in front of the gas open fire... relaxing does not get much better than that! Very cosy cottage in a great location central to all the Mornington Peninsula attractions and walking distance to Red Hill village centre.

After arriving and exploring, we made a point of walking (not driving) down to investigate the local cluster of shops and restaurants (not a long walk), then took a walk down a bridle (horse) path which took us for a good hour or so return trip into the country.  We were very happy to have a cold drink and snack at the local restaurants when we returned!  The property was a comfortable place for a relaxed night's accommodation, although there were few places to relax with a book other than the bed.  The kitchenette and fridge worked for our needs however. And there is now a screen for the bathroom so concerns raised in earlier reviews are resolved.

Good central RedHill location

All was cleaned. Bed most comfortable. No views, but walking distance from The Epicurean, where the wedding was. 
It would have been ideal to have a greater variety for breakfast and a lot more condiments. Possum keeping you up all night, which is difficult to control. 3.5 stars for me.

Charming period bed and breakfast.

We booked into the Helier Cottage (formerly Hannoy) for two nights to attend a wedding. 

First impressions were good with a detailed email explaining how to gain access and local tips. The split level cottage with open plan bedroom, spa, toilet upstairs appeared well appointed until we looked where to hang our clothes.

There was no hanging space! There was no ironing board, even though there was a very cheap iron. As we wanted to press and hang  our clothes for the wedding we were attending, I rang the contact number. The phone did not answer and went to voice-mail. A detailed message was left and now four days after the call have still not received a response.

I could detail a range of little things such as the sparse hardened sugar and coffee, the lack of instructions on how  to turn on the fireplace, the missing torch that was supposed to be essential when heading down the street at night,  or poor wireless range ...there is more ... but ... I don't wish to labour the point.

Hideaways has the potential to be a good B & B but in hospitality the little things really do matter.
