In fact, we have no choice inside Bach Ma national park, so why don't we enjoy the best thing here
First at all, the hotel is the heart of Bach Ma national park, from the hotel you can walk to the top, enjoy amazing panorama view. Specially, you can wake up early in the morning to wait for the Sun rises.
Secondly, in wet, foggy, cloudy and cool of Bach Ma mountains, we can't ask for dry blankets, or 5 stars furniture, rights? And if you love nature, you should enjoy the climate here.
Thirdly, the staffs are really enthusiasm and friendly.
Just enjoy and don't complain!

Great view and atmosphere

All the park accommodation is very basic (1*) with a bed and wet room style bathroom. We initially pulled up at Do Quyen accommodation with our tour but it seemed full so carried on to Phong Lan (the guest house nearest the summit (1km from the track to the summit). This looked the nicer of the two. The room was clean and surprisingly bug-free, only spotting a few bugs during our night there.  The rooms are not well lit but enough to see what you're doing. We asked for vegetarian food and got rice plus 3 big dishes in the evening. The food was ok but certainly not the best we had in Vietnam. It filed us up after treking so we were happy! Breakfast was vegetable noodles. Good for 1 night in the park. 

Basic but best in park

This place cannot be called an hotel, it is just insalubrious, disgusting, and a huge trap! First of all you are dropped at 1km of the hotel that is up the hill, you have to reach it by walking even if you have luggages. No welcoming. Someone gave us a key telling there was no power until 5.30pm. We opened the door and the nightmare started. 

The full room was covered, from bottom to top by mold! The bathroom was even worst, the ceiling covered in mushrooms! The walls by condensation. The smell just unstandable as much as we went to the toilet outside! 

The bed sheets were wet, dirty.

The all building has absolutely NO ISOLATION, so, you can imagine the heavy atmosphere in this place, located at 1500m of altitude in a rainy forest. Just unstandable! 

We finally got power from 6pm to 11pm, no electricity at all in the morning.

The breakfast was nothing except instant noodles, charged 10 times more than the price you pay it in any convenience store.

I wish I could have taken pictures, I never thought that could actually exist and in addition, been charged $ 35 !!!! 

It is just OUTRAGEOUS! Such a pity cause the parc is wonderful but the facilities INEXISTENT such as the service. 

AVOID THIS PLACE !

Worst hotel around all Asia! Room fully covered by mold, smelly, dirty, no power....

Bach Ma is a lovely area however, staying at this villa was an awful experience. The man who manages Phong Lan is money hungry (whenever I had my wallet out, he wouldn't even look at me, just stared at my wallet) and doesn't have any idea how customer service works. The room was adequate, however the pillows were covered in mold if you took the cover off. 

Around 12am, we heard something scratching around in our room. The power was turned off and there are no windows in the room, so there was no light whatsoever. We turned our phones on and saw there was a rat in our room. We noticed there was a hole in the wall with a water bottle stuck in it - their attempt to fix this issue. The rat continued to come in and out of the room for the next 5 hours of the night, at one point it was crawling on the table right next to our heads. We hardly got any sleep. We tried to find someone to fix the problem, but no staff was around. We called someone and they said, 'We'll be back at 9am.' 

The next morning, we were obviously very upset - as we had no sleep. You pay for a hotel to sleep and we didn't sleep. We shouldn't have had to pay for this room. The man managing the place was completely unreasonable and wouldn't let us leave until we paid - even more than the listed price (which he lied about), for a room we didn't get any sleep in and had rodents running around all night. It was disgusting. I understand we are up in the mountains and there will be bugs, but a solution to a hole in the wall is not to put a water bottle in it and allow rats to enter the room AND on top of it make us pay a higher price for the room. He didn't even consider a discount. Absolutely unacceptable. The man was extremely rude to us, never apologized and seemed on the verge of violence. It was scary. We had no choice but to pay him because the taxi driver would not take us down and the walk down to the visitor center would take hours. This man really tainted our stay of an otherwise lovely trip to Bach Ma.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I have never experienced something like this in my entire time in Vietnam, it was extremely disappointing.
