The hotel needs to be updated. Door had a gap, power strip was being used for several plug ins, air conditioner did’t really work that well. Only to towels for the bathroom. Not worth the $$ paid. Continental breakfast was very limited.

Pass on it

I came to Cloud 9 without a reservation and asked to see a room. There was only one employee on duty. She told me I could look through the window of a room. I did and agreed to take the double room. When we entered, there was a strong odor. I went back and advised the desk clerk. She gave me a key for another room. When I went to that room, I attempted to click on the TV using the remote, before even sitting down. It did not go on. I looked at the unit itself and could not see any way to turn it on there. I alerted the clerk who said the maintenance man would see to it. I checked again to see when he would come to fix it. The clerk said he was out. At that point, I said I wanted to cancel. Neither I nor my friend had even sat on a bed, nor used the bathroom, nor availed ourselves of any service or amenity. The clerk said she did not know how to reverse credit card charges and her boss would not be in until the next day. She was fairly emotional and demanded to know why we wanted to cancel. So, I called my credit card company and alerted them I would dispute the charge and left. The Cloud 9 management now refuses to return the money, although I am paying for absolutely nothing.

Ripped off

We stayed here so my parents would not have to climb stairs. At check in we choose one room with two beds so I could assist my parents if need be. We were charged extra for having 3 people in a room. There were only 2 bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths  in the room. I do not think it would of been an issue to request more but that ration worked for us. The bed spreads were dated and were removed from our beds before sleeping. Mattresses on the beds were far less than we are accustomed to, my mom asked for ibuprofen in the morning to help alleviate her back discomfort. Water in shower was hot enough for 2 showers and a hair wash. Free continental breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, sugar coated cereals with 2% milk, plain bagels, prepackaged honey buns, and glazed donuts (my dad had one and made the comment that the donut tasted like it was a day old). The orange juice and coffee were both okay. I have stayed in nicer rooms for less $ and won't return if/when I am in Sioux Falls again.

Less than average but not necessarily poor

I rented a room here for my last week in South Dakota it was fantastic clean tidy and the staff where great especially the Croatian lady with no name, a real sweet heart. The manager was very helpful too, as was the owner, I needed directions most days to get the best experience out of Sioux Falls while I was there and the staff here were full on with info for every situation. Thank you all very much .

Very friendly staff, nice big rooms, tidy and a nice breakfast.

The snooty receptionist insisted that it was the stupid customer that didn't know how to access Wi-Fi. So we had to troop up to the office to demonstrate that this was not so.

After having shown her that the wi-fi actually did not work, and having asked for our money back to go to another motel where it would work, she insisted on charging us $15 for the pleasure of this aggravation.

If you want to do this too, then by all means stay here.

We stayed here one night on our way through to Green Bay from Rapid City. It was in a great location. Loved that we could pull up to the door. We got in at like 8:30/9 so we were ready to sleep and get some food. The bed was nice and so was the service. It was in between lots of food places. Also the next day it only took us a few minutes to get back into the interstate. We would stay here again! 

Good Stay! 

The room was larger then a more expensive room. The customer service needs to be better. The house keeper get mad at us because we weren't out of the room at 11. We were staying a week so I don't see why he was saying that. They said we couldn't be loud but other people who were staying was playing music loud and drinking outside so. Other then that the stay was nice ac was amazing during the heat. Has cable and somewhat good WiFi.
