Pro- cute cabin. Very nice layout with an upstairs loft. The lady in charge was amazing. Called us on our way in to make sure we were ok because we were running late. Loved the location. Super close to Yosemite and Cute little city right down the road.  Bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean  

Cons- driving in was rough, looked a little sketchy. Cabin interior is outdated but did not find it dirty like many other reviewers. There was a coffee pot with no coffee. Also no blow dryer which is pretty standard

If your looking for a close stay to Yosemite and do not want to pay huge prices, this is the place. If your looking for elaborate, gorgeous interior not for you

Horrible cabin.  Check in was supposed to be at 3:00 PM.  When we called at 4:30 we were told to check the fine print which states that it could be later.  We did not receive the email with the code to get in until 6:30 PM.  After a long day of travel to arrive this was especially frustrating.

The condition of the cabin was significantly less than desirable.  We chose the Honey Bear for the hot tub.  The water was cloudy and scummy.  As I have had hot tubs in past, this is entirely unacceptle.  

The price was significantly raised due to spring break week, and while I agreed to the $341.00 per night, the condition of hot tubs, lumpy beds etc, made the trip uncomfortable.

We loved LouAnn! She made the stay exceptional with her warm, kind hospitality. The cabin itself is cozy, just what you need for traveling back and forth to Yosemite. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, blankets, etc. Kitchen had all the things you need to cook, coffee pot, silverware, etc. Porch area had table and chairs that was inviting after a long day or early crisp morning for coffee, and of course if you wish, you can have extra company to share with named Bear and Oreo! Will be going back! Thanks LouAnn for making memories!!

Great Stay!

First, the good.  LouAnn, the owner, was very good at answering questions before we arrived and fortunately ,was home at 9:30pm when we arrived in the dark and had trouble finding the place.  She was helpful, pleasant, and is a card.  The beds and pillows were comfortable and the linens were fresh and clean. If you want a full kitchen and refrigerator, you won't find a better price close to Yosemite.  As others have stated, this place could be so much more with some deep cleaning and a little TLC.  We didn't mind the rustic room or older furniture or even the spiders (we were in the woods),  It was the desiccated frog that we found on the bathroom floor (obviously missed during a previous cleaning) and the filthy floor back behind the stove and refrigerator, and dead flies and dirt in the sliding kitchen window, and the dust all over the decorations atop the non-working fireplace, and the broken shade on the front door (we hung a towel so no one could look into the living room / bedroom), and the mouse that crawled across the stove when we turned on the oven, and the dirty oven that the mouse was probably loving.  We brought bleach so we at least felt o.k. after wiping down everything.  We made it work but we won't be returning.

Close to Yosemite but bring bleach

Stayed at Bear Creek Cabins for two nights. Good location for Yosemite and Mariposa (a cute little town). The cabins are comfortable enough but really could be so much better with a little TLC. Room sleeps six but there are only a couple of glasses and not much stuff in the kitchen. Really could do with some redecoration too. 

Good for Yosemite but could be so much better...

Having read the other reviews before visiting we knew this property would not be luxurious but the price reflects that. The cabin looks great and  though the furnishings and kitchen equipment are quite basic we had everything we needed. 
The owner was friendly and helpful and gave us good advice on visiting Yosemite. We were happy with our stay. 

Accommodation as Expected

Do not go by the first impressions as it is not quite as plush as may seem from the photos but this is a great little find close to the entrance to Yosemite Valley. I would recommend it  

Be aware though that it is in a remote location with very little around. There is a small grocers a few miles away and you can eat at the Yosemite Bug Resort which is next door and where you can also get wifi. 

There are 4 lodges and we stayed in No 3. This must be a bigger one as the owner said that the family in 2 wanted to change to 3 but we had it booked and so couldn't!

The accommodation is relatively basic but is a good size. It has an open plan downstairs with a kitchen, table/chairs and bed. The bathroom is downstairs. There is a room on the mezzanine floor. 

It isn't plush by any means but it does a job. The proximity to Yosemite and the price far outweigh the other points. 

The owner is a real character. You'll enjoy talking with her!
