O.K.  I get it.  You get what you pay for.  I've traveled to hundreds of destinations and stayed in just as many hotels.  Yes the room was clean (sorta).  Yes they had a fridge. Good.  Only one towel & wash cloth per person - I'll live.   But I think this was the first room with no coffee maker or microwave.  I've had more options in the past for less money. But I didn't get THAT much of a discount.  $80.00 a night.  Did I get what I payed for?    Will you?  And yes - request a room away from the stairs, as another traveller suggested!  Soooo noisy!  Good luck and safe travels!!

"NASCAR Nightmare!"

Unless you are looking to stay at a place renting rooms by the hour for prostitution, this is NOT the place for you.
We booked a hotel room here after attending a concert in Charlotte. We knew it was a cheap hotel and didn't expect anything fancy. But when we arrived at 11 to check in, there was a line of men booking rooms for $15 an hour, while a car of prostitutes waiting out front. 
Obviously we didn't feel comfortable staying there and asked to cancel our reservation. They said they couldn't do that so we paid $70 for a room that we did NOT stay in. I called afterwards and asked the manager for a refund and he refused, then hung up on me.

GROSS!!

Hotel was clean.  Price was good. Easy to get to and from the race track, even with the construction that was going on.  Nothing fancy, bed was comfortable. 
Downside was there was no clock in the room, but there was a frig.
And the sign did not light up at night making it hard to see with all the construction.

Race Weekend

For the price, the room was a good bargain. The pictures on the website are very outdated, but the room is tolerable. It's nice to have an option to sleep and not break bank to do it. "Basics" are offered and the shower is clean and hot. 

My non smoking room was obviously a smoking room at some point (Burn marks on the covers and wall as well as overpowering cigarette smell. As an ex smoker, I find the smell of cigarettes nauseating. I purchased air fresheners and enjoyed a hassle free stay for 2 nights. I am considering staying an extra night since it was such a great price. 

Expect a 40 dollar room, and you will not be disappointed. I'm glad to have the option to relax for less than 70 dollars a night. Free Local calls are advertised on the website, but I was instructed by the front desk that it would cost me ten dollars to activate the phone in my room.

I stay in Charlotte a lot for work, but grew tired of spending $$$$ when all I really do is sleep there. I am not looking for luxury. This place was clean, quiet and very reasonably priced. There are no frills, but there are lots of nearby restaurants, etc.  Towels were soft, sheets were fresh, no bugs, no smell of insect killer.  No complaints at all! I will be back for sure.  About ⅓ of what I usually pay.
