I paused at The Willows on my road trip from the San Francisco coast to Southern Washington. A fortunate find, even with my almost dark arrival.
My chambers were large enough for a solo waltz with large windows looking NE and one above a book shelf complete with intriguing titles. The bathroom, too, was ample. I slept very, very well!
The morning began with a wander out the front door with its covered driveway down to a pond which I immediately labeled for weddings. 
Set at the top of a hill, The Willows looks out onto an expansive valley framed by not too distant mountains. Around back is a pretty pool just waiting for a swimmer.
Everywhere the trees, shrubs and flowers are well tended!
Ready for breakfast, I peeked into the butler’s pantry where my hostess held out a fine fresh brew (this is the NW I love ).
I sat down in front of a fireplace and dawdled over a sumptuous breakfast and chatted with Mrs. Dowling.
I certainly needed no lunch, instead booked dinner in nearby historical Jacksonville and dined al fresco.
Had I not been heading N. to visit a grand daughter, I’d have lingered a 3rd night.



A Place to Dream 

This is a historic home that's been owner operated by a sweet couple who work constantly on the place. Joe, is outside daily cleaning up debris, planting something new or starting a new project. They offer weddings, stays and events. The service is incredible for a wedding and the price is super reasonable. We had our's there back in 2016 and then a friend had theirs there last year. The pictures come out beautifully because of how well they take care of the grounds. They have a beer garden, and big tent's in case it rains. They have multiple places to setup so you have 3 areas to select from. They have an onstage wedding planner, and package that includes so much. My wife stayed there the night before and only had comments about how amazing it was. If you can get Sandy to cook for you it's quite an experience as she is a professional chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu if I remember correctly. The website doesn't do the place justice, and you are just minutes from town. 

Great Location, Owner's, and Rooms

We made a last-minute reservation here on the Fourth of July, and what a delight. The place is a historic building, beautifully maintained, lovely gardens, a swimming pool, and an incredibly peaceful environment.  The hosts were super attentive, and Cheryl who went to cooking school, provided an A+ gourmet breakfast. She even had a special gluten-free treat available and asked us if we had any dietary restrictions. We were given tips about local hiking spots and restaurants, directions to where we were going, and a run down of the fascinating history of the house. We loved it so much we made a reservation to return before we left.

A True Gem

Greeting on arrival was lacking hospitality. Guests were never asked to tour main house, cleanliness of the carriage house was greatly lacking, dirty bathroom, shredded and stained towels, dirty floors dirty kitchen and micro.After the first day of our stay when we returned to our room and realized  that the bed had not been made nor bathroom cleaned  we were informed by innkeeper Sandra that housekeeping services were not included in room rate other than a linen change once a week. As guest we were responsible for making the bed , cleaning and trash removal.Finally we were overcharged 1 day which later was corrected.

My daughter and I stayed here and it was a wonderful experience.   We had a lovely room upstairs (there was a curving staircase).  The garden was lovely and such a treat to walk around.  The hostess did great job offering suggestions for meals and was very welcoming but didn't infringe on our privacy.  The breakfast here was amazing - she obviously has a real knack in the kitchen.  We will return!

A hidden treasure in Central Point

My husband and I loved our stay!  Nice sized rooms, beautiful landscaping with amazing views of the valley and  lush farm land.  The breakfast so yummy.  Jacksonville was close enough to enjoy but we were happy to return to the Willows quiet setting for the night.  Dancin winery was close by for an enjoyable afternoon.  We will be back!

Charming  B&B with amazing views

My husband and I have stayed at The Willows many times, and I can't believe this is the first time I've reviewed it! It is absolutely beautiful. The views are spectacular, and the accommodations are incredibly comfortable. We usually come twice a year, and we've never been disappointed. If you come over July 4th, you can sit out on the lawn and watch the fireworks. Sandy's gourmet breakfasts are to die for! Both Sandy and Joe are always so hospitable, giving us maps of the area and making suggestions regarding where to go. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone!
