Chantelle was very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. It was a clean & warm environment. Easy parking. Good toilets. Would highly recommend. My number one choice for a carvery with good selection of vegetables

Stay in Exeter

I booked a room here for the night as a stop over during a trip down to lands end. Good location and good price for the room. Staff were friendly and helpful and with the restaurant next to it meant I didn’t have to go far food food which is a bonus. Will stay again

Nice stop over stay

Perfect. Couldn’t fault the staff that were on duty.  We visited during the hottest week on record & the staff were cheerful, helpful & polite.  The rooms have been given a facelift, lovely large walk in shower, super sized comfy bed, a tea tray with decaf coffee, black out curtains & a large desk top fan which was on full blast when we arrived at our room. The Toby Carvery was very busy, but again the staff were cheerful even though it was incredibly hot, I think the only person who wasn’t cheerful was the head chef, I wouldn’t of been either.  If you want a nice place to stay with a restaurant & pub within 10 feet of your hotel room then give it a go. Really friendly staff. We couldn’t fault it.

Amazing

Stayed with family on Mother’s Day weekend and enjoyed it a lot. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom newly refurbished with powerful shower and Carvery next door was serving amazing breakfast from 8am. We will definitely stay again!

Good night stay

Excellent staff and service good food clean room with good tea making and comfy bed  clean bathroom with good towels all u need for a great stopover nice late check out midday after a great breakfast served till 11 

Great stop over

Rooms are clean with a comfy bed and a good bathroom, for the money paid, it was better than I expected.
The carvery was excellent the meat yummy and lots of veg etc
The breakfast was also good and again better than expected.
The place is basic, but everyone was friendly and I enjoyed my stay.

Goid carvery 

I stayed here with my 7 year old daughter.  It is a good base to stay to explore Exeter with good links for the train station at Digby and Sowton and bus stops directly outside.
Check in was nice and easy, pleasant staff who were really helpful too.
The room itself (219) was basic but clean.  It had everything we needed which for the price is all you could ask for really.  The beds were nice and comfy too.
Breakfast at the Toby Carvery next door was a bit disappointing but this review isn't about them, just my opinion that if I stayed here again I wouldn't bother eating there.
Check out again was very easy and friendly.
I've given 4 stars and not 5 because, although everything was fine with the stay it didn't have anything really above the basics.  I'd stay again though as it did have everything we needed for a 2 night stay, just with no frills :)

Good base for exploring

A welcomed break after a long car journey from Kent to attend a funeral in Exmouth for a very special auntie that meant everything to my boyfriend. Cannot fault the room, bathroom, the food or any of the staff we interacted with during our stay all were brilliant and would absolutely stay here again.

Welcomed Break

I was recommended to this place from a couple of work colleagues. Loads of parking and check in quick and friendly. Rooms are in outside blocks similar to a motel. That said they were clean and adequate and were quiet during the night. The carvery next to the hotel is excellent.
