My daughter and her now husband chose Nuthurst Grange to host an after wedding family meal for 17 people. We hired the Earlswood suite and have to say we couldn't fault the place. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, the food was fantastic and we didn't feel at all rushed to leave after our booked time.  I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.

As hotels go, the Nuthurst was right up there for me. The attention to details was impeccable! Customer service was outstanding. From the moment I was greeted at reception, right through to check out, it was a first class affair. Listen, if you’re looking for a big lifeless chain hotel, then the Nuthurst isn’t for you. The Nuthurst has only 22 beautiful individual bedrooms. My room was huge, and contained everything I needed for the best stay. The comfort of my bed was a dream and for once the lighting in the bathroom was perfect. This Hotel I’m sure has history and I love the fact they have kept so many of the original features. Hands down, the best poached eggs in avocado and sourdough bread ever. That would take some beating. Again the staff in the restaurant were super attentive and very happy and polite. Whilst we were there, there was a wedding taking place and from what I saw, the Nuthurst is not just a perfect venue for business meetings, but a perfect wedding venue. Thank you to all the staff at the Nuthurst for making my stay just wonderful

An absolute gem

We stayed only one night at the hotel for a friends daughters 30th birthday bash. The staff were friendly and very helpful on our arrival giving us all the information we needed. Our room was number 9 on the first floor, with a four poster bed within. The room was very spacious with plenty of stage space. It has a mini fridge with complimentary water, an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and a fabulous small but awesome fan , which was soooo needed in the warm night. Tea/coffee making facilities , a TV. The corridors creaked a little but for me that adds to the charm of this fabulous place . The food at the party was great, staff brilliant and the grounds beautiful and perfect for occasions like weddings. The bed was very comfortable, and there were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. The bath was really big tho we preferred showers which was also good over the bath . Breakfast was excellent with service staff waiting on you … I believe each individual breakfast is cooked to order and there is plenty of choice for all.

Great for celebrations

An excellent afternoon tea with friends for a special birthday. A first time visit for all of us but not the last.  Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food.  We will be back both to have another afternoon tea and to try a dinner in the evening.

Excellent Afternoon Tea

I want to thank the wonderful thoughtful staff at the Nuthurst Grange for a recent celebration of life event held at the hotel, in the stables.  Firstly upon contacting them I dealt with Magda who reserved the date and booked us in for a viewing twice. it was no problem at all to Magda, she was very kind and gracious. Once booked, we then dealt with Kelly to discuss all of the arrangements and she too helped us with a seamless booking. When it came to the evening before, I wanted to set up a powerpoint presentation, dress tables, at this point Grant and Orsche  were our port of call. Wow they could not do enough then and on the day they were kind , helpful there whenever needed throughout the entire day and evening!! Orsche was very thoughtful and caring, asking if we were okay, and Grant even plated food up for my husband and I noting that we did not have tIme to go and eat! They provided an absolutely seamless and coordinated celebration of life for us and we are extremely grateful to all staff there. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the food was amazing !! i cannot fault the hotel or the staff especially grant and Orsche!! Thank you and we will be sure to book again if you will have us as I think we did outstay our welcome!! love Rachael and John McGarry

Absolutely amazing hotel, food and most of all staff!! Grant and Orsche are amazing

It was my first time at Nuthurst Grange and wanted to take my family there for Christmas dinner. For the price we paid  £149.95 per person, I was expecting big things. We didn’t receive are Prosecco or canapé’s on arrival, we got shown to the table then 20 minutes later we received them. We all choose the Turkey dinner for are main and we all were very disappointed it tasted bland and wasn’t very warm the vegetables were like the mixed frozen packets you can buy and didn’t taste fresh or have any flavour and the roast potatoes were very salty and the Yorkshire pudding looked over cooked I had to ask for more gravy as there was hardly any on my plate and what they brought out was still not enough and not very warm. It was such a lot of money to spend and it was such a waste of money, I could have made a better Turkey dinner and saved myself a lot of money. Please don’t wasn't your money and have Christmas dinner here it was so disappointing.



Christmas Dinner 2023 Awful  😣 

A return to our favourite local venue. This year the Christmas dining with carols was a Sunday lunch. Friendly welcome, notably from Orsi (waitress) and the restaurant manager who met all the needs of a strong vegetarian - with new choices. Good meal, helped by a little wine and everyone was happy and full. The staff were faultless, especially the new black waitress whose humour matched the occasion (sorry no name).

We had our wedding at Nuthurst Grange Hotel on the 9th September and it was simply amazing! We cannot thank the team enough.

We had visited many venues but when we arrived at Nuthurst in March, in its beautiful grounds, we immediately felt relaxed and knew it was the one for us. From the warm welcome from Helen on reception to meeting the wedding coordinators, Magda and Kelly, we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel and Grounds
The hotel, although being incredible stylish and looking exquisite, also made you feel relaxed and comfortable.

I stayed in the Hen House the night before the wedding and it was an uncharacteristically hot evening. The room had a large portable fan which was much needed and welcomed.

The honeymoon suite is lovely. Gorgeous free-standing bath, separate shower room, a balcony overlooking the helipad that there is room to sit or sunbathe on!

Our other guests also loved their rooms and the housekeeping team did a wonderful job in accommodating all of the extra beds that were required in some of the rooms.

The grounds are just beautiful, well maintained with lots of little areas to wonder too – plenty of photo opportunities.

Food
We enjoyed our complimentary food tasting and the excellent service and humour of HB!
We were asked to give feedback on the dishes, we did ask for minor tweaks, which the Chef made sure were incorporated for the wedding breakfast.

The food on the day was delicious, plentiful and hot, and it received so many compliments from the guests.

The breakfast and service the next day was also fabulous. As we had booked all of the rooms, we had all of the stunning dining areas to make use of.

The Team
The team at the hotel are simply exceptional.

We visited Magda and Kelly several times before the wedding with lots of questions, and each time they were so accommodating and helpful, and made us feel confident that everything was going to run smoothly.

The evening before our wedding, I thought I had torn my wedding dress trying to pack it. Marjan on reception was so comforting as we arrived and immediately offered to contact her friend who was a seamstress and Kelly was also there to give me a hug.

Thankfully, the dress was not torn but Marjan’s reaction was reflective of all of the team at Nuthurst Grange – they go above and beyond to try and make the day special for you.

We would like to say a special thanks to Grant (General Manager), who was phenomenal. Grant was with us the evening before the wedding helping to set up, and with us again first thing the next morning; helping with button holes, keeping us informed of where we needed to be and when and making sure that the day ran smoothly.

We had forgotten to let Grant know that we wanted to do a photo dash from table to table during the wedding breakfast. Immediately, he organised music, managed the timings of the meal and made sure that we could take the photos.

He has an amazing “can do” attitude even under pressure, so friendly, professional, all of the guests commented on how great he and the team were.

Grant and the exceptional team made sure we felt completely relaxed, that they had everything under control and the attention to detail was stunning, they all looked after us so well.

Some of our guests had left items behind, which housekeeping promptly brought to the attention of Helen at reception who made sure that everything was returned.

The team at the hotel at every level have a fabulous ethic and are a real credit to Paul the owner. We absolutely loved our day, thank you all so much for making it so magical for us x

Magical wedding experience

This is how to do hospitality... Perfect setting, friendly professional helpful staff, perfect facilities, exquisite cuisine.. Easily one of the better establishments I've visited, including destinations across the world, in my 61 years.. Thank you so much for a perfect memorable day.. 🙂 👍 

Easily 5 star.. AA Rosettes, should have a Michelin star.. Perfect venue for a memorable experience. 

We had a function in the Stables - a separate annexe to the main hotel and it was fabulous.
The events manager Kelly was extremely helpful and incredibly patient! Nothing was too much trouble and every detail was taken care of.
The waiting and bar staff on the day were excellent. The food was superb and plenty of it. Special thanks to Grant for helping with the technical stuff too.
