Stopped off for a bite to eat and so glad we did food was amazing had gluten free options on mains and puds  fast hot delicious homemade pub grub very reasonably priced. Restaurant inviting and cosy with friendly service... deffo be back when in the area 

Loved this pub

Had 2 rooms after a family wedding at the weekend and was not at all impressed. Room was dirty, bed was broken and very uncomfortable. The bedding on one of the single beds looked like it had been slept in. The bath panel was broken, bugs in the bath, stains on blind. Breakfast was served on a cold plate and wasn’t the best. The staff though were lovely . I won’t be returning.

Stay Away

We booked a 2 night stay with buyagift.com and we wouldn't stay there for love nor money. The whole place could do with a deep clean or revamp. The bar was sticky with old beer and the sofa with the grubby cushion on it wasn't exactly inviting. Was told there was no heating which would account for the strong smell of damp and how cold it was, they had an open fire place but was told they had no logs. My husband asked for a lager that took a age to come through, i asked for something with lemonade and was told they had none as post mix machine was tripping out the bar area. We were shown our room it was very cold, I would say it was cleaner than downstairs but the bathroom had carpet on floor and for me that's a big no no..not hygienic at all. I sat on the bed and was nearly in tears, as this was meant to be a romantic getaway,I said I couldn't stay here as it was so depressing. So we left and got a b&b in Blandford forum itself. 
I wouldn't recommend.

Awful

Handy overnight spot.  Friendly welcome, nice evening meal and hot brekkie in the morning.  It is on a main road so there is traffic noise but I would expect nothing else given it's location.

The room was spacious with nice clean linen but the bathroom, although clean,  could of done with a bit of spruce up especially in the shower.

If you're looking for somewhere friendly with good food to get your head down without costing the earth then this is the place.

Good place for an overnight stop

Top class place. Amazing value for money. Great food. The locals are super friendly too. Enjoyed a game of pool and throwing a few darts too. Breakfast was top class too. All in all a great. Place to find. Will stay here again I'm sure.  Nice playground and dog walking area too on site.

Fab spot with dogs

The wife and I with our dog stayed here for two nights in a family room. After easily parking up in the pub carpark we entered the Cashmoor Inn and were met by a very pleasant and helpful young lady who then showed us to our room. The room itself was large and airy with a decent size double bed & again a decent size single bed. The bedding sheets were clean and fresh accompanied by a very warm and comfortable duvet. The beds were a little hard for us but still fair. The en-suite was very acceptable with a good hot shower with decent pressure. The clean white large fluffy & assorted towels were very good.
Remember this is a pub/inn and not the Savoy. Our room overlooked the busy A road but this is explained on their website so you must expect heavy traffic at anytime - the flow of traffic does subside considerably later into the night but not completely.
Our room had tea/coffee making facilities and these were topped up as required.
A small but effective tv with decent reception. Decent size wardrobe and ample drawer stowage so you could “spread” your kit around. Plug sockets by double and single bed.
The pub itself was friendly and used by the locals - a very good atmosphere indeed and so very dog friendly. The beer I had was hand pulled and Neil the owner knew how to look after his cellar.
The wife was also very happy with the cider on offer.
We dined in the pub side of the Inn. The restaurant looked nice and inviting but we enjoyed the bar area that much and having the dog with us it made it a no brainer to have our meal near the bar.
Both our meals were prepared fresh and they were marvellous and at a fantastic price - well done indeed.
Breakfast was fab, full English and all that jazz. Neil the proprietor was very approachable and flexible, meeting our needs as required. He and his daughter Thia (no idea if I’ve spelt that right so apologies for my ignorance) were such nice people and we can only give them praise.
There is also a very large beer garden which is child & dog friendly, there is a climbing frame (probably not for adults!) and ample seating - dogs must be kept on a lead in the garden which is fair enough.
You have to remember, this is a pub, and it looks after it’s locals, yes it may need a little freshening up here and there but somehow this adds to its charm.
This is a good place & excellent value for money. Great food, great ale and great people - long may it last.

Easy on your cash

A really friendly overnight stay. The owners were very accommodating and helpful helping my to store medication in the fridge. Great nights sleep with a comfy bed, perfect for the two night stay we needed whilst at a friends wedding. Would recommend.

Friendly and welcoming stay

superb meal during worrying times. very well looked after despite all the issues surrounding the virus. lovely beer and very pleasant surroundings. stopped off here on the way to visiting my son in Dorset. highly recommended. looking forward to visiting again under better circumstances

pre lock down meal

I had a great stay here with my friends on our motorcycle trip. The pub owners were very accommodating for us and our bikes and very nice people. The rooms and facilities were exactly as expected and the owners were very flexible with us for breakfast. We ate dinner here too and my breaded brie and steak was excellent. The bar stayed open for us even though we were the only ones still there and the landlady and their daughter serving us were very friendly too. We even got some late night pizzas and had a great night!! 

Great stay, great food and excellent hosts

I ended up staying 4 nights instead of 1 ! This is a really nice place to rest your weary head,  after a long journey from any direction. Nestled between Salisbury and Blandford, Cashmore is a hidden Gem !

I decided to stay out of Salisbury as didnt want to be around the Christmas shopping crowds!

Neil and his family made me the most welcome I have ever felt in an English Public house, as a lone single traveller.
The food is lovely and not at all expensive.
The rooms are spacious and clean and have character ! This is an old building but is being maintained to a high standard and has not list any of it's old fashioned charm of a Coaching Inn !
I'm coming to stay again , very soon, if They will have me ? Lol
