A last minute decision to attend Bulith Wells Antique Fair meant limited choice but the reviews were good and it benefited from a car park - or so the description said; in actuality it's no more that a driveway which has to be left clear for next door's transit van. I'd booked a double with en suite which seemed to bemuse the owner as I was a single traveler - but an early breakfast was provided on the Saturday morning as I had to leave at 7:30 - hash browns were somewhat under cooked but all in all it was adequate; the room clean, limited TV, hot water in the shower once run but the WiFi didn't seem to reach the top floor. On returning Saturday evening the room had not been serviced - strange; Sunday morning breakfast arrived lukewarm at best and the explanation that the spare key didn't fit the room so it hadn't been cleaned. On leaving I was told the charge was £38 per night - not what I was expecting; pointed out the room hadn't been cleaned and there had been no WiFi so perhaps a small reduction was in order? to receive a very sharp - we explained that and there's nothing wrong with the WiFi.  I tried to access the WiFi to get the e-mail with the quote but it wasn't working so reluctantly paid.  hotels.com have since contacted the owner to seek redress but have got nowhere.  Visit it again - no fears nor would I use Hotels.com to find accommodation. Altogether a most unsatisfactory expensive stay.

When we first entered our room which had one double and one single bed, it looked clean and tidy.  After settling in we went out for a meal and upon return we had to get the owner to bring another key for our room as we could not unlock the door. We had to ask for for more toilet paper as there was only a small amount on the roll.  We were unable to use the shower due to it being too hot and turning it on to the cold water made no difference.  Two out of the three bedside lamps did not work, and for some strange reason a rolled up section of a magazine was rolled around the bottom of the television, which looked like it was holding it up.  The breakfast was quite tasty, but could have been warmer.  After spending a night here we cannot see how it has a 3* status, and do not think we had good value for money.  If in the area again we will be looking elsewhere to stay.

1 night stay

This is the second time we've stayed here and the host is lovely. Friendly, welcome and didn't mind at all when we turned up early. First time we booked over the phone, second online, and both easily done. 

Room three is spacious and with an en suite and tea/coffee - you couldn't ask for more! Four poster bed, couch, wardrobe and TV, all very clean and tidy.  Shower has good pressure and there's soap/shampoo samples and clean towels. 

Free WiFi is a massive plus. 

Breakfast is ya typical "full Welsh" which is just what you need before a day of fishing and sightseeing! 

Would fully recommend to all.
