We stayed for two nights and it was absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was spotless and really cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from with quality products. Mark and Helen the owners are the most friendly and welcoming people you can ask for which made our stay one of the best breaks we've had!!

Best guesthouse I've ever stayed in

We had a really lovely stay at Carra Beag Guest House.  The new owners had been in place about 4 weeks, and were already updating some decor.  They were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious!  The place was really fresh and clean.  We stayed in the superior double which had a lovely view, a big bathroom (walk in shower) and a 4 poster bed.   Tea, coffee, and a couple of bottles of water were also included.  There is a good sized car park at the back, and just a short walk into town.  We look forward to staying again!

Very clean and comfortable with friendly hosts

The new owners Helen and Mark had only been there for a few weeks and had refurbised much of the building.  It was in excellent condition.  The welcome was both warm and informative and the breakfest highly recommended.

Very Pleasant in Pitlochry

Our trip was great their was no faults with our hosts or the room it was a lovely experiance as it was our grankida first time in a guest house & they loved it & want to go back

Family weekend

Our superior double (with queen bed) was a good size with a very comfortable bed. New owners had just taken it on and it sounds like they have wonderful plans to improve the B&B. Mark happily carried our bag up the stairs. It is very convenient to the town and parking was available. Breakfast was yummy. We enjoyed our 2 nights there.

Very comfortable stay close to town

Set above the main street with views over the valley to a set of hills, this guesthouse enjoys a good position to enjoy beautiful Pitlochry. I received a warm welcome, the cooked breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. The room was at the front on the first floor with good views, clean, but decor maybe needs a refresh. Despite being a biggish room there was no storage space apart from a few hangars so for the three nights I was there I had to live out of a suitcase on the floor. Odd but easily remedied. The current owners move on in a week so this review might be outdated quite quickly. Overall, a good experience and happy to recommend.

Good location and friendly welcome

I have been coming to Scotland every year since 1980. Hospitality and service have always been of paramount importance. Since Covid, I have the impression that some people are seriously deteriorating. This was a large room for a single room. Good bed, sofa, cupboard to store everything, TV (which I never use), there would even be room for a table and chair. (Not so) My granddaughters' (2) room was mini. No cupboard to store anything. So, suitcase on the floor, twice. It was better to turn my single room into a double room (enough space) and to turn the mini double into a single room. Then it would still be big enough, even with a cupboard in the room.
Breakfast. In the evening you should already know what you are going to eat the next morning. A novelty since Corona apparently. Buffet? A few jars of cereal, orange juice, apple juice, milk and yogurt. A lost banana and apple somewhere. Breakfast is full Scottish or something from this dish. Not even a slice of salmon with your scrambled eggs or oatmeal porridge. Really the minimum. For £70 a night I expected a bit more.
The "lounge" is dark and anything but cozy. No bar or "Honesty bar" although the cupboards are full of whiskey boxes, empty of course.
Romantic ? Many photos come from better times and are no longer up to date.
The owner may need to think carefully about whether he can or wants to continue this business. However, there is a lot of potential.
