Seashells is in a perfect location, close to the harbour & beaches - no parking but long stay council run car parks are nearby and cost just £15 for a week. Brian and Julie are exceptional hosts, with nothing being too much trouble. The breakfast is delicious, and the views from the dining room are wonderful. The room was spotlessly clean, with a fan and handy usb ports for charging phones - the fridge was a very welcome extra to keep drinks cold and store cream teas and pasties before the journey home. All in all a great stay & highly recommended.

Great B&B with stunning views

This is a FANTASTIC guest house! Spotlessly clean, beautiful views, wonderful breakfast and close to everything.
This is truly a home away from home with wonderful hosts who are welcoming and friendly.
Recommended for children though please bare in mind this is a family business so children should be respectful in the communal areas and should remove their shoes before climbing the spotless carpeted stairs (not a requirement by the hosts just my personal opinion)
We spent a week here on a family vacation and will recommend it highly and can't wait to return! Thank you Brian and Julie you are amazing!

Fantastic Hosts!

stayed for 3 nights with the wife. Owners brian and julie are fantastic hosts and made us most welcome .Our room was very clean and beds comfortable .The location is the best as its next to all you will need .The breakfast is well cooked and very tasty and set us both up for the day .We felt we was very much at home at the seashells. On our early checkout brian went out of his way to cook our breakfasts at 8am instead of 9am which was very nice of him ..cheers brian and julie

We have recently returned from Seashells Guest House and had a most enjoyable stay.   Brian and Julie are friendly and helpful hosts and the breakfasts are very good.   We had a large room with magnificent sea views which was very well equipped even with a small fridge.    Fresh towels were provided each day. and the location is very convenient.    Would highly recommend

Super Place to stay in Newquay

Brian and Julie are lovely friendly and welcoming.  This is a great bed and breakfast.  The breakfast is very substantial and fills you up for the day.
The rooms are very comfortable with tea and coffee plus a small fridge excellent for keeping your beer cool.  Would definitely recommend 😀

Excellent place to stay in Newquay

Myself my husband and daughter stayed at the seashells guest house run by Brian and Julie in the middle of August 2019.  I admit I was apprehensive to begin with as always stayed in a hotel, so this was a first.  After a 10 hour drive to Newquay, Brian was there to greet us, we were lucky to be able to park outside the guest house.  Brian made us feel very welcome straight away.  We were in a family room.  The room was clean and spacious with a cracking view of the sea, beaches and harbour. There was a good size double and single bed, both clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean.  There was tea and coffee facilities, also a mini fridge which was handy for drinks and milk.  Brian and Julie were both very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.  We were able to come and go as we pleased.  The breakfast was very good.  There were plenty of choice of cereals, fresh fruit  a smashing full English and plenty of toast.  Brown bread was available if wanted 😉.  Fresh towels were brought every morning by Brian.    The guest house was in a great place, the harbour and beach right by and the town very near.  We had a lovely holiday and a lovely stay at seashells, was sad to leave as felt very comfortable staying at seashells.  Would definitely recommend staying here whether it’s for a short stay or longer stay, whether it’s couples, single person or a family.  5 stars all round.

Hi staying at Brian’s and Julie’s b&b was amazing they are such a lovely couple do anything for u just fantastic location and lovely view  from the family room we stayed in.well recommended if you are thinking of Newquay book the seashells you will love it with a fantastic breakfast thanks mike.

great little B&B perfect for discovering the area.great couple who run it and very helpful and can't do enough to make you welcome.cosy place clean tidy and great breakfast.parking not easy but we got round it ,views to the beach fantastic and good places to eat and drink on the doorstep.very quite which was nice being it in the centre of everything.

The view from our room is amazing and the room is always very clean we have stayed here a few times over the years and will be returning again soon highly recommend

Best views in newquay x

My wife and I decided to take a mini break for our wedding anniversary and at short notice decided to book a couple of nights at Seashells. 
Not being used to staying in a guest house we really didn’t know what to expect. What we did experience though was a really friendly ‘Eddy’ aka Brian (😂) who went out of his way to carry our luggage (I had my hands full of some of it, well, our camera gear at least) upstairs to our room (6) which overlooked Towan Bay and the harbour at the rear of the property. I have to say that the location for this guest house is excellent and serves well for its guests. 

We very quickly settled in to our stay and embarked on a meander around the town. Having taken an impromptu detour over Dartmoor on way down to Newquay from Leicester which added an hour so to our journey, we were ready to sample a cold one or two........

The town is litterally on your doorstep along with many places to eat and slurp. We had a good ramble around the town and settled on a meal consisting of our national dish.................a curry 😀

Waking up to the sound of the sea was a real treat, even though my body clock refused to let me slumber. The usuall 5am all alwake kicked in so ddcided to take a peak through the window at the bay, soooooo glad I did (see the pic here). As an avid photographer, you dream of witnessing my vista that morning which incidentally was the anniversary of our wedding! Camera grappled, image captured. 

9am we decided to go for breakfast, Brian was in the breakfast room and swiftly shown us to our table followed by explaining the menu, everything was fresh and delivered timely and extremely courteously. 

Un-be known to us, there were many activities taking place in the area that weekend, the county rowing championships, Watergate Bay Hill Climb (first ever full road closure event, look it up on Facebook) and a massive fitness event on Fistral beach. All of which were free to observe and enjoy, you din’t get that anywhere these days!!!!

Our room was comfortable, clean and suited our purpose completely. 

Would we stay here again?

ABSOLUTELY. 

We didn’t get to meet Julie directly, which was a shame, but Eddy (Brian) kinda made up for that tbh. His engaging style and local knowledge serves his business well, thanks again sir!!!!

If any readers here decide to book a stay at Seashells (and why wouldn’t you), book room 6 and pray for the sunrise that I witnessed (as my wife
 snored her head off LOL).
