We had a hugely successful three night stay. We will definitely return. It was a great place to catch up with family. Medbourne itself is a most attractive village, with scenic walks on the doorstep.

We loved our room, which was even better than anticipated, with a sitting area and plenty of space.

The staff were all brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. the meals were excellent and there was such a good atmosphere.

We are really pleased that we chose to stay at the Nevill Arms !

A Very Special Break

Just returned from a most enjoyable break ( 3 couples ), at the Nevill Arms in Medbourne 
 The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious and the young staff team were  particularly friendly and helpful. 
The food also deserves special mention 
The breakfasts were absolutely delicious.
The Supper Club meal on the Monday evening was excellent and very good value.
And the meal the following evening in the restaurant was superb!
A really imaginative menu, mouth watering food, beautifully presented.
Medbourne is a lovely little village, equidistant from Market Harborough and Uppingham, set in most attractive countryside with good,  well signposted walks straight from the hotel. 
Our first visit but we’ll definitely be back!

A most enjoyable 3 night break

We stayed at the nevill arms this past week, while having beautiful decor and a stunning courtyard it promised an excellent experience. The food was brilliant even though it was some what over priced for what is served. You have to break the bank to purchase a few drinks. And the bar is awfully dark in the evenings. The girls who served us were delightful and kind. A cleaner or house keeper I presume - I forget her name, I believe it was Amy or something similar. Either way, she was wonderful and couldn’t have been nicer even taking time out of her day to take some photos for us. She tended to our needs when asked and was so patient with our children and my elderly mother who asked lots of questions about all the flowers. Our room was incredibly clean and we had a great night sleep, would say the rooms need a little update though but were still pleasant and quite quirky.
A down side to our stay was probably the rude and arrogant bar manager, very tall chap who made you feel like he had somewhere better to be when trying to talk to him. Wasn’t very polite or friendly and actually equally as rude to his fellow employees. Definitely on a power trip it appears. But I digress, our over all experience of the nevill arms was a positive one but mainly due to the girls who served us and the young cleaner who helped us. They really made the trip a pleasure. Would return. 

Lovely food, friendly staff but a little over priced.

Had Christmas Day at the Nevill Arms, food was amazing. Hosts made us feel really welcome and service was top notch! Well done guys, you made our christmas!

Great Little Place, great team.

The Nevill Arms was our venue to stay for NYE weekend .
I had emailed and rung them before to see if we could stay an extra day  NO REPLY 
I emailed and phoned them before our stay about bathrobes NO REPLY 
I emailed after our stay when their Netpay machine failed and for 2 hours my bank acc was overdrawn because of being CHARGED TWICE ..NO REPLY .
They initially put us in a room which they dont display online with a 1980s old bath .We were upgraded but had to pay .This upgrade room had holes in the sheets ,tiny amounts of toiletries and half a toilet roll . Bedrooms were chilly with small radiators do we were given a tiny electric fire as well 
Food mostly ok BUT full of GARLIC and I had to drink milk due to stomach ache .Gusband main was just covered in strong red overseasoned cabbage.Had sandwiches on the 2nd night after Sunday lunch .stale cheese and strong vingered mustard rocket side salad .which I did not touch
Drinks very expensive ,not in the pub ,but in the restaurant like off the scale  for chateau neuf and champers .
The free champers with the £125 nye meal was 
cheap bubbly 
Very steep stairs to all bedrooms
Staff very nice all polite and the 2 managers were pleasant .These places need a more mature maitre who will actually engage a bit with the guests .NYE and the youngsters running it in jeans .
Sorry but its a v nice pub but unsure about the food and bedrooms 


New Year OKish 

Great place to stay with very good staff, great food and excellent ambiance. Couldn’t have had a nicer experience and would highly recommend a stay here. The eggs royal breakfast pre-departure was amazing. Top job guys and keep up the great work!!

Excellent stay!!

We had a one night stay here in a lovely setting. On arrival the staff were very friendly. Critical point - if you expect to dine in the restaurant make sure you reserve a table when you check in - they might not ask you if you want a table. We didn't get asked and assumed there would be a table for us as we were staying and then when we asked about half an hour later, it felt like we were being a nuisance.
My evening meal was excellent although my partner's buttermilk chicken was overcooked and dry. After a few drinks we went to bed and found the mattress was so uncomfortable as we could feel the springs poking through it. I slept at the other end of the bed as it was less noticeable although it was still an unpleasant sleep.
Breakfast was excellent as were the staff, however when we checked out we mentioned the mattress to the male employee who could not have been less caring and asked us if we felt they should buy a new mattress! We were actually staying at the inn for a well earned break and not there to decide on their future purchases.
I messaged and emailed my issues to the management and have still not had the courtesy of a response.

Nice place, shame about the bed

On Saturday 11 of us had booked for a birthday meal. On arrival the waitress advised they were short staffed so to call her over if needed. We didn’t need to. She was superb and attended to us as though we were the only table in the restaurant. The food was also top class. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little special and great value for money.

Short staffed and still managed a superb experience

Another visit to one of the best pub restaurants with accommodation in the UK. A chilled out vibe in the bar makes it easy to relax with a great range of drinks on draught. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, the dinner menu is creative, well presented and never disappoints. Breakfast is different to the norm and the coffee is deliciously moreish. The service throughout the pub & restaurant is efficient, warm but not intrusive. The bedrooms are comfy with luxurious bedding and the quiet village makes for a peaceful nights sleep. A special mention for Alice & Callie… their attentive service on our last two visits was the icing on the cake. We’ll be back very soon.

Wonderful Dinner Bed & Breakfast in quiet Leicestershire village

This was our first visit to The Nevill Arms Inn, and we were very impressed with our experience from start to finish.  We hadn't travelled very far, but just wanted a night away somewhere different.

We were wowed by the picturesque village of Medbourne when we arrived.  There was a really nice buzz in the pub when we  first walked in, and it was busy.  The staff were very friendly and welcoming.  

Our room was very clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view  overlooking the village.  We had breakfast the following the morning and it was very well presented with generous portions.

The Nevill Arms is still in the process of being refurbished, but most of the work has been done already, and to a very good standard.  The area at the back of the Pub has been developed which during the summer months and warmer weather will be a great place to  meet and socialise with friends and family.  

Would  certainly recommend the Nevill Arms Inn, and look forward to visiting again.
