Sheraton Grand London Park Lane

We stayed here for three nights in early May and found the hotel to be excellent beyond our expectations. We are big fans of the Bonvoy brands but typically avoid Sheratons due to some past disappointments but this hotel exceeded our expectations on many levels. We chose this hotel based on reviews and room size, as well as the price point compared to some of the other more luxury brands of which many had tiny rooms which don't work for us. The art deco decor is very well done and the hotel does not have a tired feel at all. The lobby and bar area are not large but large enough with beautiful and tasteful furnishings that perfectly reflect the hotel's art deco ambience. The location is great and within easy walking distance for all that you want to see in the Mayfair area and beyond. We had booked an art deco suite and were surprisingly upgraded to a fabulous Park Suite that was on the top floor with wonderful views of the city skyline over Green Park. The room was very large with an enormous master bedroom and nice separate seating area. The furnishings, carpets, and room decor were all in excellent shape and did not feel stodgy or well worn, and most of all the room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large with both tub and shower, and the towels, linens, and amenities were top notch. The A/C worked perfectly as well which was a bonus as it was a warm week in London. The Nespresso machine was a bonus and was fully stocked each day, and the Club Lounge on the first floor was also excellent with very nice appetizers and snacks in the evening, a tea service in the afternoon, and an excellent breakfast. The staff were also professional and well trained and many welcomed us by name when we visited the lounge, etc. We had a nice lunch in the adjacent restaurant and visited the lobby bar twice for excellent cocktails. Overall an excellent experience and one that I hope to repeat again!
