We loved our stay at the Broadford House.  Our room was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed.  Marta was so kind and helpful, assisting us when we arrived early and giving us suggestions on things to do until our room was ready.  The Inn is conveniently located across the street from a grocery store and gas station. 
Broadford is a cute little town and you can easily get to any part of Skye.

Pleasant Stay in Broadford, Isle of Skye

What a bad surprise we had upon arrival on Skye! We paid 280€/night (that is more than 800€ for 3 nights) and for that price ended up in a tiny room with stains (blood?) on the sheets, stains (water flood?) on the ceiling, dirty rug, a window that wasn't closing properly and a "see view" that was actually a view on the supermarket parking lot right in front of the house.
Of course, the building itself is ugly, the surroundings are not very welcoming (supermarket, gas station) and the main road is right at the doorstep (meaning the room was noisy).
This room would not even have been OK for 80€/night!! But for 280€!!! That's just theft! 
Of course, we only stay 1 night (it was not possible to change accomodation right upon arrival unfortunately) and found a luxury AirBnB nearby for 200€/night for our 2 other nights on Skye.
Broadford House did refund us the whole amount of money spent for our stay (we had paid in advance).
Yet, I think it's important to leave a comment here... I guess this happens quite often, guests make a claim, they get refunded and so don't leave a bad review in exchange, which explains why Broadford House manages to reach a 3,5 on Tripadvisor.
So my advice here: spare you the trouble, book elsewhere, there are really nice places all around Skye but this one is not.

Deceiving & overpriced: run away!

The rooms we had were incredibly well kept with comfortable beds and fully stacked tea and coffee selection.

The breakfast was hearty and provided us energy and calories for the days of activity we had lined up.

It was so comforting knowing we were coming back here after the hiking and canyoning we did .

Steph was the best host you could ask for, coming from sunny Brazil, the greeting , energy and interest in us were all from genuine care. 

Broardford house Skye - Can

Booked one night, decent enough welcome on arrival. On entering the room, the overwhelming heat hit us. An oil heater AND wall heater were both on. Turned off the oil heater but the controls were removed on the wall heater so couldn't turn it down or off.  There was a sink in the room but the so called en suite was a shower and toilet in a cupboard. The door was a bi-fold wardrobe door so affording absolutely NO privacy!!  The heat in the room meant had to have the window open for fresh air but that meant the road noise was then an issue. The ceiling was badly cracked and the fun began with the people upstairs walking around and it felt like the ceiling was coming in.  The walls and ceiling are paper thin so every noise amplified, especially their bathroom visit at 3am where every drop was heard. After an awful night, I hoped a good shower would help - this is where it wasn't funny. The shower was either freezing or scalding, without changing the temperature dial and that was the water that wasn't pouring out of the shower unit and not getting as far as the shower hose. The hairdryer that was provided couldn't be plugged in anywhere near the one small mirror to make it any use.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast good, having avoided the broken floor as we sat down - still wouldn't say it was worth the £90 we paid.

Save yourself the bother and book somewhere else!

We spent 4 nights there paying £353.
We had to use the same towels every day and nobody emptied our bin in our whole stay.
We shared bathroom with the other room in our floor who stayed there 2 days. Well, the bathroom wasn't cleaned until the last day and it only was cleaned because we asked for it. When the other guest checked-out they left dirty towels in the bathroom, and we had to use it with all the things they left behind in there. The staff left their room opened without cleaning it until 9:00pm, with plates with rest of breakfast on the bed what it is not nice to see for other guest.
No manager no owners there, only 2 employees who didn't care too much about us to be comfortable there.
One of them spending the vast majority of his shift looking at his phone.
The morning we checked out the manager was there and we told him our issues, and he responded us that he will communicate with us later by phone.
They only offer us a 10% discount for having to use the same towel the 4 days but said nothing about not having clean bathroom everyday.
We replied him asking for bigger discount for not having clean bathroom everyday and he told us that they are a small guesthouse and don't clean bathroom everyday, that shocked us. £90 average per day and we don't get clean shared bathroom everyday?? We believed that it wasn't true and we told him.
He insisted that cleaning bathroom everyday is not a service that they provide and he raised the discount from £35 to £50, an amount we still considered low considering the poor service we got.
£90 per day in low season it's a high price so we expected a service according to the price and we got worse service than in a cheap hostel.
We kept telling him that £50 discount it is not enough for us and we didn't want to carry on with that endless discussion, he should know what to do as we know what to do 
Since then we don't have any more news from them nor having any money back

Worse service than a hostel but price like a hotel

Great location and very nice staff. We were made to feel welcome. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. Coop supermarket across the road also 24 hr filling station.

Top class service

During our road trip, we stayed at three different guesthouses and B&B's in Scotland. Broadford House was the most expensive of them all.

 The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly, there was a pair of panties under the desk. Also, the bed was broken on one side which caused my friend to lay on a slope. We both didn't sleep well. Also, the breakfast wasn't good. 

It doesn't feel good to write a bad review, I hope this will help Broadford House to improve in the future.
