Ok so this isnt the cleanest or most functional guest house, but for sake of £35 just to stop over to pick up a family member from Gatwick, I wasn't looking to pay for luxury. That being said, the location is great for local amenities as well as Gatwick. Being a bit of an exhibitionist, the poor ratings played to my advantage, apart from the owners nephew living there, who was working night shifts anyway, I was the only one in the entire house that night. So I had a great time freely walking around naked in all accessible areas inside the house as well as in the back yard and front garden right next to a busy road. Had a great time just because of this, and for this reason alone I would visit again if needed, as long as I was the only occupant again 😆

You get what you pay for

This is what the bottom end of the market is like - room ok, shared facilities poor, but ultimately kind. Do be aware of need to phone if you are arriving outside their very minimal hours - in my case a welcome book ut unsought refuge during train strike

This place is beyond disgusting. Anyone writing anything nice about this place must seriously feel sorry for the owner. 
 Mould all over the place, dirty cups, towels and bed sheets. 
  Other lodgers include a variety of insects and i an only guessing however with the scraping and scuffling around In the evening I’m sure they also have rats or mice in there too. 
And the gentleman whom owns it feels £50 is a fair price. 
 He also refuses to give refunds. 
A complaint to environmental health and the ombudsman have been required.

Disgusting

This place is everything everyone else say about it.. Terrible place worst place I ever stayed.. Terrible smell of damp.. No hot water from sink tap.. Dirty carpet, curtains.  Could see light from bathroom in the bedroom as wall was partially rottered through..car park entrance not defined as no signage so usually missed it, car park yes definitely is rolled hardcore.. External though house lloks derilict.. Would not return to this place..believe me you will be disappointed like I was, unfortunately was too late to cancel.. Good side.. It's great location to Horley town centre. Short walk and you spend ur evening in the local pub instead of the depressing room.. Like I did.. Think before booking. 

Total disappointment 

The whole house looks derilict junk laying about the car parking was rolled hardcore, its a filthy place the net curtains are grey with dirt most hanging in shreds, the bath room is disgusting the toilet was filthy brown form top to bottom no toilet roll. The bedroom had a sink unit but no water came out of the taps, curtains hanging off from the rails. Dirty carpets, i could go on and on it needs a complete refurbish from top to bottom.

Its a terrible place not fit for animals let alone humans.

I booked this place in a hurry as the hotel booking I made elsewhere was cancelled. I wish I had read the reviews. 
I am stunned that this place hasn't been shut down. 
It is simply uninhabitable. It is absolutely filthy with sticky residue and dirt on all surfaces. It smells damp. There are uncovered sockets with exposed wires near the sink. The outside area is like a rubbish dump.
The last straw for me was the inappropriate behaviour of the creepy man who checked me in who made a pass at me. As a single female traveller I felt felt pretty unsafe.
Other liken their experience to a horror film.
Needless to say, I didn't stay. Found another hotel near Gatwick.
Hotels.com with whom I made the booking were not remotely interested .
At this price, I was expecting extremely basic but clean accommodation. I honestly don't think that the rooms here are ever cleaned.

Please do not stay here

Just dire.. absolutely filthy, (shared) bathroom looks like it belongs in a horror movie truck stop and after meeting the owner I half expected to end up in a pie. This place could never be cheap enough to be worth it, didn't want to touch anything or drink the water, thought I'd brave a cuppa only to find yellow teabags and out of date coffee/milk (and not just by days, this was 8 months out of date). Owner is just not capable of the upkeep and was suspicious I'd booked a twin room for just me so I ended up in a single room.
 
If I'd have been female I'd probably have walked away immediately. Really bad vibes and the owner shared some stories of previous guests that made me think I'd have been better just sleeping at the airport if that's the clientele it attracts.

Needs closing down

This was the worst place I have ever ever seen , we have an early flight tomorrow so needed just a room.for the night. Pulled up to a run down building (looked like something of a horror movie) outside was like a building site. Knocked on the door man leant out of top window asked who I was and said hel be down in a minute by this point I had backed so far up the drive . 
He then came out and the small that hit me was absolutely horrific.. said we could park the car around the back for the week at a cheaper rate then airport as cars were parked there ( there wasn't we had tried find somewhere to park) By this point I had said to my friend we can't stay here tried to make an excuse to leave the man said I need to check in I need your passport to which I replied I haven't got it can have my provisional.. then showed me to my room.i have never ever seen anything so dirty and run down but what scared.me the most was the inappropriate comments of the man..saying he needs to take a seat because his pregnant asked me if knew how a man got pregnant to which I replied no and he said by either the popes blessing or having sex laid out on my back and its not the first option.. I then messaged my friend to tell her what room I was in because I genuinely believed something awful was about to happen I asked if anyone else was here and he replied yes but people don't bring their cars because they fly..to which I replied we are flying tomorrow.  I then ran to my friends car who had already booked us somewhere else . I Darent go back.to the house  so my.friend drove to the front so I could post keys and make a run for.it.. I genuinely felt.like I was in a horror movie. The place is awful how it is still running is beyond me but the hygiene and the man who met me was the thing that did it the most..safe to say I paid nearly 200 pounds to go somewhere else..avoid at all costs!!!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING

Worst place I have ever walked into. The building is an Absolute tip, it's like a dirty squat. 
They should be ashamed of themselves. 
Terrible is an understatement. Can not believe they can actually expect anybody to be happy with anything they have to offer.

What a comlete tip .....shared bathroom absolutely disgusting room a sgambles .we literally waked in greeted by guy with cigarette hanging from mouth,were shown to room and we left walked 50 yards down road to different hotel ....when they found out where we'd been they laugh.and said theyd like a penny for each time it had happened.
