Good location, helpful staff. Rooms smelt of damp, mould on windows and net curtains and moths in heavy curtains. Carpets looked very dirty. Staff moved us to basement, no mould but noise all night - possibly water pipes, hopefully not mice! Freezing rooms until heating kicks in. No fridge or coffee machine either as advertised in Premier Plus rooms.
Breakfast quality has declined - terrible coffee, not Costa anymore, no more smoothies and request for vegan bacon declined at 10.25 as ‘ovens were off’. 
This is the fourth Premier Inn in Glasgow we’ve stayed in and, going forward, we’ll try Air B’n’B. I’d rather stay somewhere clean and eat breakfast out - will be a bonus to have a full Scottish breakfast too which Premier Inn don’t offer.

Good Location, Tired, Grubby Hotel

As we have family in Glasgow we come up regularly and choose to stay at Premier Inn. This time we stayed at George Square and have never been so disappointed.
The welcome we received was less than welcoming, not sure she knew how to smile, the premier plus rooms were small and nothing special as billed so not sure what a normal room would be like.
 The room was nt the cleanest and when we arrived we were told we would nt be getting cleaner in anyway, it was also chilly so when we tried to turn up the heating it would nt let us, so no heating and no string to close the window vent the only saving grace was the breakfast. Feel we ve paid for premier and got normal, won’t be coming back to this one.
Spent a lot of money for a mediocre room and service.

Bad Choice

We normally stay in the Buchanan Galleries Premier Inn which is excellent.  On this occasion as we needed two rooms for two nights we chose the George Square one as the total price was a good bit lower.  We were not disappointed.  Both rooms on the third floor were as expected….comfortable, clean.  Good shower and bath.  The rooms looked out the back so were quiet.  The heating was efficient and the window opened for fresh air.   We didn’t eat in the hotel so cannot comment on food etc.  .Although the hotel is described as George Square it is two blocks away.  It is handy however for Central Station and Merchant City which has many and varied restaurants.  I would return if the price was right but would probably say the Buchanan Galleries has the edge for us.

A good premier inn at a good price for central Glasgow

We where over for my husband's mothers funeral,.we said this in passing at dinner to our server Lucy, as dinner ended she presented us with 2 drinks, chocolates and a note to say "a little something from us to say we are thinking of you after such a hard week"we where absolutely blown away by this, well done Lucy and team, it's not our first stay, and most definitely won't be out last, we opted for the meal deal, the food was absolutely delicious, well worth the money. The hotel is really clean and all the staff are lovely, I just really had to highlight Lucy, what an ambassador she is for your hotel, well done Lucy, well done staff and well done premier inn!!

Great stay

Comfy bed, friendly staff from what little interaction we had with them, decent price for a city centre hotel BUT room smelt awfully damp.
Wasn't in room long after check in but wasn't til we came back at 2am and discovered the condescension / black mold all along the top of the window frame. 
No staff available to report it to and overhead at check in they where fully booked anyway.
Bathroom was relatively clean was some grubbyness along the skirting boards.
We won't be staying here again

Good but BAD

Situated in a central location with easy access to both main line train stations, local underground and a short walk from a major bus terminal this hotel is an excellent choice for business and short break stays.
It is within a few minutes walk from the historic Merchant City, George Square with The City Chambers and Major shopping centres. 
Staff at this Premier Inn are helpful and can give advice on almost all local sites of interest, 
Breakfast is excellent as are all the available menus, either at lunch or an evening meal.
Well worth a visit - you will not be disapointed.
   

Premier Inn - George Square Glasgow

Very convenient location, excellent facilities and very helpful staff. The breakfasts and evening meal were superb. We enjoyed a Premier+ room, very thoughtful additives like a fridge and coffee making machine plus a couple of chocolates!!!

Pleasant stay

Stayed for one night in a premier plus double bedroom, lovely room with excellent comfortable bed, toilet spotless however air conditioning noisy. Used the bar, ok but some drinks not listed on bar menu, overall a nice stay, would use again. 

Nice stay at Premier Inn George Square.

Worst nights sleep I've ever had, The noise from inside / under the hotel was consistent all night and the window was so poorly sealed that all you can hear all night is traffic, drunks and seagulls.  Reported to reception staff and was advised to email in my complaint. Nothing was done while I was there and guest relations have ignored my emails completely. The "Good Night Guarantee" seems to be subject to many hidden terms and conditions which they don't specify on their website. There are many other hotels in Glasgow within walking distance of this hotel for similar prices so look elsewhere.

Very noisy, reception staff uninterested.

The room was extremely hot and even with the fan/air on was not comfortable for sleeping. There was also a sour smell which I believe was from a dirty cloth/mop used to wash the bathroom floor. The pillows were so hard that I woke with a headache/sore neck 2 of the 4 mornings there. I asked for the room to be serviced on my 3rd day, requested well before their noon deadline, but it was never done. To be fair, I never spoke to any staff about these issues, so they did not have the opportunity to correct them.  I had been travelling for quite a long time, and just didin't have the energy.
