Warm welcome, friendly hosts, in a real English pub with cottage rooms at the back  on the shoreline in a beautifully appointed first floor room suite with a double windowed panorama of the sea. Our hosts could not have done more for us and we enjoyed a full cooked breakfast before moving on.

One of the most comfortable and cleanest small hotels I've stayed in. Wendy and Stewart make you feel very  welcome and nothing is too much trouble.  
We had a beautiful seafront view from our bedroom window as well as armchairs and a large tv.
The bathroom was clean with just a shower, which suited us.
Stewart cooks a mean breakfast.  I had a delicious mushroom and cheese omelette and hubby had a full English. Add in the toast and cereal, youre set up for the day.

A very comfortable overnight stay before retuning home to France . Room was lovely with sea view , extremely comfortable bed good shower . Breakfast was superb, hosts friendly and helpful . Overall 10/10 .

Found this B & B and what a gem of a place the sea view is unparalleled and would give any hotel a run for its money with the views. Wendy and Stuart fantastic hosts, the room was immaculate and breakfast was great too.So reasonable can not recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a B & B in the area call these people first you will not be disappointed. Fantastic little find ,stayed for 1 night while visiting Folkestone The room was spotless the Linen excellent quality ,and the bar in the pub was lovely very welcoming and a lovely setting Highly recommend

We had a lovely two night stay at this lovely Hotel, meeting up with family.
Very clean room. Lovely seaviews. Tea ,coffee making facilities available, tv, sofa... almost like home from home. 
Wendy was a very kind and chatty host. 
Wendy's breakfast's are lovely. Very filling and set you up nicely for the day.

We had an excellent stay at The Ship Inn. The Covid precautions are rigorous and our room was impeccably clean. 
The room had a beautiful view looking out at the beach and sea. The Inn also has an upstairs terrace where you can enjoy a drink whilst looking across to France.
The bar has an impressive range of real ales and the breakfast was first class.
I can thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Wow what a lovely pub, restaurant and cottages, there is a good selection of ales, the food was really nice fish and chips I had was lovely, the rooms are very clean a nice touch the coffee machine 👍, we missed the breakfast which looked lovely, due to an illness we had to come home, the  staff where excellent, the lady only charge us for the one night and admin charges as we left before the end of our stay which we was very happy with, we left our parents there to finish there stay they said the breakfast was lovely and there stay was great, highly recommend 

Stopped at this b&b early September 2018. Rooms are located in a small 3 storey cottage which is part of a terrace with the pub of the same name (where you eat breakfast) immediately next door. Road outside was residential and quiet. The room was clean, comfortable and well presented. the bed was especially very comfortable! tea and coffee facilities, ironing board, hairdryer great smart TV (although we never watched it) and even a telescope in the room! Bathroom was long and narrow but again clean and bright. Nice shower with a raindrop shower head. There are 2 rooms on the ground floor which may be suitable to people who are less able to manage stairs. There is no lift or "Stannah Stairlift". Stairway might benefit from a deep clean as it is a high traffic area but all generally fine. Wifi is hit and miss in the rooms, but not really an issue for us - we both have data plans on our phone contracts and weren't there just to sit gawping at our phones!
Breakfast was plentiful, options of cereals, yogurt and a generous cooked/full english. We didn't eat here apart from breakfast but I suspect it would be just as yummy. Parking is ON STREET and out of the hands of the owners. There is a pay & display 2 minutes away (£5 24 hours) and on street parking is 2hours at a time or overnight. Local residents have to have permits. Don't let the parking situation put you off staying here! I suspect we will return.

Weekend away 

Stayed for 3 nights and were delighted to find that Sandgate was the ideal position. Ten minutes from main town (if  that) it was a lovely town. Made very welcome after a drink in the bar and were shown to our room at the top of the property. Well, not only did we have a bedroom but a separate sitting room overlooking the sea. Chesterfield settee and perfect layout.
The owner Wendy was delightful. Nothing too much trouble and lots of interesting stories to tell. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to a return visit soon. A great weekend. One tip for staying in this area. There are few restaurants so try to book a table when you decide if you like the look of anything.
