3 aging bikers decided to take a trip to Cornwall. Although we arrived later than we hoped, Bruce and Rosemary welcomed us and advised on where to eat and drink. The rooms were of an excellent standard with en suite. Fresh towels (warm and fluffy ones!) were renewed daily and room was made up while we went out each day (we stayed 3 nights). We decided on the in house breakfast and we were not disappointed. It was plentiful, varied, well presented and cooked well.
Our hosts were ever so friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us.
Overall, I would have no hesitation in staying here again and recommending this place. Great people, great place, great value.

Motorbike trip to Falmouth made all the better

I thought I had booked a B & B, but that was my mistake !     We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed everything you could ask for in a guest house.  Clean, comfortable, well equipped and extremely welcoming.  We could not have asked for more.   The optional breakfast was very comprehensive and very generous too.   We could not find any negative aspects to this guest house at all.   We would definitely try to book here again next time we are in Falmouth.

Everything you could wish for in a guest house.

Stayed 2 nights in early July, travelling by car. 
Lovely building, spotlessly decorated, maintained and cleaned - couldn't fault it! My bathroom space was tiny but did the job and had good shower.  Friendly hosts and great breakfast (if you chose to take it). Excellent location with the town a reasonable walk away in one direction and the beach a short walk in the other. A small amount of parking on site but plenty of free street parking anyway. 
Close also to the railway station with very frequent (1/2 hourly) train service to Truro - this makes day trips by train possible very practical. I chose to go to Penzance but St Ives would also have been straightforward. (It actually cost me less than it would have done to drive and park). Tip - if you do go out by train,have time and don't mind walking further, go to Falmouth Docks station where the line ends (rather than Falmouth Town). You can sit on the train while waiting for it to go and get on before everyone else as fewer people use this station!

Breakfast was not available until 9, but as it wasn't included anyway in the room rate you had the option not to take it and get breakfast 'on the road' if you needed an early get-away - so an observation rather than criticism.

Great location, faultless building and hosts!

We stayed at Wellington House for three nights in December with our two Border Collies.On arrival we were met by Rosemary,the onwer,who was very pleasant and friendly.Rosemary explained all there was to know,amongst other things explaining that we had been allocated room three as we had the dogs, and there was more room in that room for them.Very thoughtful..We were shown to our room.There on the carpet were two  dog beds,dog bowls and a jar of biscuits for the dogs.Now to our comforts.Very spacious room with en-suite shower etc.A very comfortable double bed and coffee,tea and hot chocolate making facilities,and biscuits for us.Room three was very quiet.The window gave a good view of Falmouth Harbour.Breakfast was by pre-order the evening before by filling in the supplied order form.At Breakfast we were met by Bruce,Rosemary's husband who was most pleasant and easy to talk to.We had the Cornish Breakfast,(not to be missed,as was the home made  fruit compote). Five minute walk away there is a very pleasant dog walk with paved footpaths and some grass that is suitable for the dogs(please pick up), dog bins provided.At Wellington House there is off road car parking.
   All in all we had a very enjoyable stay,and would not hesitate to return on any future visit to Falmouth.Wellingon House is in walking distance from the town and shops etc.

Comfortable and friendly

Good location, within walking distance of the town, beaches, station  etc. Dog friendly and pre breakfast dog walk nearby.  Cooked breakfast not available til 9.00 am but more than adequate continental breakfast from 8.30 am, shame the pancakes were not home made.

Wellington House is a lovely Edwardian house, beautifully decorated and maintained. The rooms are spacious with well appointed ensuites. The breakfasts are exceptional  with a very varied choice of both full English and Continental. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is situated within easy walk of the beaches and a reasonable walk to the town centre.  Dogs are also made welcome.

An extremely well run guest house in an ideal location

Booking was easy, there were 3 of us, occupying a single and a double room and I was contacted prior to our stay to ask if I would like one of the rooms to be made up as a twin or double. Very thoughtful as in previous places, I have asked for a twin room and found myself bunking up with friends or family in a double bed. 
I agreed to let the hosts know of our arrival time as we had a long drive and couldn't be sure when we would get there. When I spoke to the lady, she told us not to rush and wished us a safe journey. On arrival ( around 8.30pm), we were greeted in the car park and helped to our rooms with luggage. A comprehensive explanation of the facilities was useful and we were asked to complete breakfast menu cards which ensures everything is cooked to order. Breakfast is between 08.30 and 10am which is very civilised when you're on holiday. 
A fantastic selection of cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt,  jam, marmalade, honey, fruit juice and bread for toasting in addition to a variety of hot and continental breakfasts is available and served in a lovely dining room. The host and hostess are lovely, very knowledgeable about the area, things to do, places to see and asked us what our plans were for each day.
Very clean rooms, fresh towels provided every three days (or more frequently on request), comfortable beds and a comprehensive tea/coffee tray in the room. There's a lounge for use by guests and while there's a small wall mounted TV in the bedrooms, there's a larger TV in the lounge for guests to use.
All in all, great value for money, excellent location for nearby beaches and Falmouth town centre and lovely hosts. Would recommend if you like dogs -  very friendly and well behaved pets of the owners, but appreciate not everyone likes or can be around dogs.
