Best guest house we've stayed in, by far...very clean and tidy run by lovely couple for whom nothing is too much trouble. Our room looked out over open countryside...Spent three days here...wonderful.
Been here three times and they have all been very restful visits. 
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wonderful experience.

Lovely clean room, good shower, towels and coffee supplies plus some chilled water in the fridge. It was a flying visit to see family, but all communications were awesome. Free WiFi was much appreciated. Thankyou you have a charming guest house. 

Charming guest house. 

We stayed at Risley Guest House for a family gathering in Nottingham, 15 minutes drive away. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. The owner, Hope, made us feel welcome and provided treats and extra towels for our spaniel who got rather bit muddy on some long local walks. We would certainly stay here again if it's available, as it is very popular.

Dog friendly, warm and welcoming.

We were very happy with our stay. I booked one room for myself and an adjacent room for my parents. Hope was extremely helpful and accommodating. The rooms were well equipped, warm and clean, and very good value. We would certainly stay again. Thank you!

Pleasant stay

We stayed for one night with our puppy en route back home and what an excellent find. Hope was so friendly and gave great recommendations about the local area. The room was so clean, well equipped and cosy, great shower and perfect for dogs staying as the back door leads out onto a courtyard and there is a big field too. Would really recommend. Thank you!

Really excellent, friendly place to stay and great for dogs

Could this place get any better? Everything was perfect plenty of space for our little family trip, rooms have everything we needed and character too! Hosts Hope and her family are amazing, our boys loved the animals and playing in the open space, me winning at football was obviously a bonus ;) can’t wait to come back and hopefully make use of the lovely courtyard and seating.

Had a long stay there room was very tidy bedding clean lovely shower plenty of teas an coffees hope was very helpful would defenlty recommend an will be staying there again if in the area plenty of walks around plus not so far away is a place called sandiacre where there are pubs an takeaways 🙂

Working away 

Where to start, from the moment we arrived we felt most welcome and the host Hope was so friendly and approachable during our stay, her communication was second to none.
The room was outstanding, super clean, our bathroom looked sparkling new. Covid rules adhered to and we were offered no contact entry to our spacious room. With the self contained rooms being external to the owners house it was a private stay in which we appreciate greatly. 
We enjoyed the tea, coffee and biscuits on offer in our room, also the extra goodies like individual bathroom products were a welcome treat.
The property is set in beautiful grounds overlooking a paddock, truly great for nature lovers.
The accommodation is set with a short walk of a pub, we took advantage of this but could wait to get back to our room and make the most of the outdoors seating. There are lovey local nature walks which we also enjoyed. 
The bed was very comfortable indeed, a good night sleep had by all. Morning coffee in the sun was glorious. 
On checking out we were advised by Hope of a local tea shop for breakfast and was not disappointed, truly completed our stay. 
We will most definitely be back as soon as we can. Thank you for being so welcoming. 


Amazing guest house

Stayed here Saturday night  with my partner and my dog .The owners where lovely and friendly  greeted us as we arrived .The room was nice and clean and nice seating area outside your room will definitely  be coming back brilliant.

Saturday night away

What a fantastic place this is, really glad I found it. Was at Donnington Park for the weekend which is about 10 minutes away. Lovely spacious room which is self contained with everything you need. Room finished to a very good standard and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The new landlady (Hope) was very friendly and helpful and communications beforehand were very good. Will definitely stay here again next time we are here and would definitely recommend it
