Outstanding accommodation for the price. The lodge was bright, spacious and airy, the fittings and fixtures of good quality and overall a comfortable space for 6 people.  Entry and exit was easy and only 30 minutes or so from Gloucester and Cheltenham.  If visiting the Cirencester area again I’d definitely stay here.

Excellent accomodation

Lake Pochard has become our home from home since August 2020. We go for a weeks fishing every year but lots of families/couples stay here without fishing. 

The lodges have all the comforts of home and Steve & his team are on hand to give helpful advice if you need it for fishing or places to visit. 
I have always felt safe at the lake which is now gated and accessible only to guests.  

Only lodge guests can fish the lake and everyone is friendly. The fish are beautiful and well looked after. Each year we get a PB and have so much fun, chilling by the lake - usually in the sun. 

The resident swan and his family provide entertainment and there’s plenty of other wild life here too. 

You can stay for weekend, mid week or week long breaks. It is best to book direct with Steve at Lake Pochard and not with another company.

Amazing, restful Lake holiday

Great base for touring the Cotswolds. Quiet site with large tidy lodge. Easy to get to many places then relaxed when returning back to site. Walks around local area also.
Comfortable lounge area and deck with a barbecue and a view across the lake.

Lovely for a break

My friend and I finally got to come on ou4 holiday after having to cancel 2 years ago due to the covid lockdown and fair to say it was worth the wait! We were pleasantly surprised with the space we had and all the features the lodge offered for such an affordable price too! The Lodges are located well and an easy distance from all the activities we had booked at the cotswolds beach ans surrounding areas! 


Wonderful weekend away

Amazing place to relax. You don’t need to fish to enjoy Lake Pochard. Lodges have two or three bedrooms with large covered deck which has a gas bbq. They are a home from home with all you need for a self catering break although there are plenty of good local pubs nearby. This is a very safe setting with code entry gates at each end; I happily sleep in the lodge whilst my husband night fishes. Steve is a great host and Keith is always on hand to give local advice.

Large bathroom, patio with bbq, all of the lodges open up to the lake.

Highly recommend

Lodges set by a beautiful lake. Picturesque and peaceful. This is a fishing lake but we were just here to relax and do some local walking and were made to feel so welcome. 
The lodges themselves are lovely, clean and fully equipped.  Really comfortable and cosy. 
The decks have plenty of furniture and a fab gas BBQ which we made good use of.
This was the perfect relaxing break. Lovely to come back after a days walking and sit on the deck watching the wildlife on the lake.
Plenty of walks nearby
Would return in a heartbeat.

Peaceful and serene break

Spent four nights at a lodge on Lake Pochard in August. The lodge was lovely and clean with all the amenities you could need, including a BBQ on the veranda. We ate at the on site restaurant and at another restaurant on another one of the nearby Lakes, both were lovely with great views and gorgeous food. Not to be missed. It’s very much a fisherman’s lake as advertised, both myself and my husband are not into fishing, but found the tranquility just what we needed. Also, other lakes nearby, close enough to walk to, a very lovely break.

We stayed at Lake Pochard , with myself, a keen angler and my wife - not too botherd about fishing.  The welcome we had from Stephen the owner was brilliant, very welcoming and great tips for the fishing.  The lodge held everything we could need, including a gas BBQ and WIFI which really impressed my son. The lodge was really comfortable and very spacious . 

The fishing was fantastic with some great fish on a very well looked after venue, the swims are maintained to a very high standard. With sensible rules for everyones enjoyment and fish welfare. 

Over all, a fantastic lodge, great standard,  all linen supplied, what more can you ask for? And the pin coded gate upon entry is another added bonus to make you feel safe. 

When my wife says she can appreciate how beautifull the lake is, you know you have found somewhere special. We shall be going back again next year if not sooner for sure. 



Fantastic if you fish or not . 

Our lodge was tired and dirty. Really shoddy cleaning routine. 

Oven was filthy. Cutlery drawer dirty. We had to put all the crockery and cutlery plus tray through the dishwasher. 

Mould round bath. Scratched toilet seat. Yuk.
