Went this evening the 11th jan 25 food was beautiful atmosphere amazing rebecca and Wendy that served is were amazing so thank u will be back this is one of our favourite restaurants out of all greene king pubs and restaurants we will b trying the rooms for our anniversary in may xxxx

Came here for Christmas dinner 5 of us and it was stunning brilliantly served high quality can’t wait to book for next year definitely worth a try everything was together and not long to wait in between courses and very well presented you won’t go wrong there

Amazing experience. Came with a friend and Caitlin who was covering, was absolutely lovely and a pleasure to be served by! Hats off to her, wonderful girl and so lovely. Exceeded our eyebrows need and made the beginning of our night out truly amazing xx

Me and my partner stated here for 1 night for an event at our wedding venue which is nearby. All staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even when they were quite obviously busy. I can agree with other reviews that the room was small, however I did not see that as a problem, as we didn't intend to spend alot of time in there other than to rest our heads. Personalised greeting card on the bed was a lovely touch, good variety of tea and coffee in the room. Cleanliness is 10/10!! Lovely big shower...everything you need for a few nights away. We had an evening meal which was delicious, plenty of breakfast options, including smaller portions for children. All meals we had were cooked to a good standard. Plenty of choice at the continental breakfast bar too!
To the back of the hotel is the river trent, although the weather was gloomy for us, I imagine in the warmer months it's wonderful to sit in the well kept beer garden and over look the river. 
We were so impressed by our visit that we will be recommending here to any of our wedding guests who need a hotel for the night.

Beautiful rooms, lovely location, friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff and great food. Room was clean and the hand written welcome note was a really nice touch. Right on the river so if you stay for longer, it would be great for walks. Rooms on the small side but everything you could need is there including iron and ironing board and blackout curtains.

Friendly and helpful hotel

Excellent hotel, we really enjoyed our stay here. Very close to Bloodstock Festival so was able to get a rest after 4 days at the festival before the drive home. Food in the restaurant downstairs was so nice and reasonably priced. All the staff were lovely too. We have already booked for the day after the festival next year!

Lovely overnight stay and beautiful setting.Staff very friendly and mostly accommodating.Delicious food and very comfortable rooms.Only criticism would be that evening bar staff ,only 1 staff member,was trying to rush us off before the advertised bar closing time commenting that we were and had been the only customers for the last hour,as though we should feel guilty for remaining until the official closing time of the bar or had been some sort of inconveniece.

I stay at this hotel on a regular basis and find it very convenient and comfortable.Last night, the restaurant was unexpectedly busy with a number of large parties. The staff coped admirably and although I was on my own, my meal was served on time and was great. Well done.

I really enjoyed Robbie Burns, menu.
The Riverside is welcoming and has a great ambiance, the staff were attentive and friendly. There was so much food and matching food with whiskey and fever tree tonics was a nice touch. Recently we experienced a wine and meal matched menu and to be honest this is a great idea.
Please do more Riverside of matching each course with wines and if your menus are collectable by diners, I will be asking for a copy of last night's menu, it was beautifully done with a historic poem on the back. The staff who served us:
Holly came to our table to share information about the drinks made to our personal request. We were served by Phoebe (lovely personable girl), Ash (smart and respectful lad), Sean (nothing was too much trouble with a sense of humour).
Thanks Riverside you have a great idea here for speciality menu nights and when presented so well and delivered in a tasty and entertaining way, I hope you carry it forward into 2024. Robbie Burns menu a great success.
