Just back from a lovely week at this cottage. It has everything you need and is really cosy and we'll appointed. We took our dog with us and she enjoyed everything about the area. Every night we went next door to the oyster bar and the staff and locals very friendly. Food was good and plenty. Lots to do and see but then I am biased being a Scot but my partner who is from Somerset enjoyed it too. Kirsty the owner is very lovely and has lots of info in the cottage.  We shall return.  Weather was pretty good for the time of year with only one bad day. Can't rate thus wee cottage enough. Thanks Kirsty.

Understand i weren't paying a lot for the room but even so if it was clean it would help and the window didn't even close the other window part of the window frame missing so it was a blowing a gale through the window would be nice to have curtains that block the light the toilet/ shower room  shower works but don't used because of mould and was filthy the other shower room didn't work at all

Very run down Hotel

1)the heater in room worked when it wanted to(central heating didn't work)
2)no remote for tv so stuck on itv2
3)showers were dirty with mould(1shower didn't work at all) plus no room to move in the shower/toilet 
4)bedding smelt of fag smoke and stains on pillow cases.
5)no emergency contact numbers if you needed anything.

Total disappointment.........

Long  story short. This hotel has been taken over by new management since august and they did not honour my booking that was made in June via booking.com. 

I had a reservation or so I thought for 1 night overnight stay for 2 adults and 2 kids for Saturday 23 September.  I received an email confirmation from the booking!

Everything seemed to be going as planned until we arrived yesterday late afternoon!
I tried to call the b and b to see if we could check in early at aroubd 1.15pm as we were heading to pleasure beach for the day. I called using the number on my confirmation to be told it was an incorrect number. This then gave me cause for concern at this point! We decided just to go to the hotel and ask. Had I not acted on this then we would have been left without a place to stay and on the hunt for an alterntive at 10pm on a busy Saturday nite in Blackpool.

When I arrived the place looked closed but I tried the door and got in. There was no one at reception however a man appeared about 2 minutes later. I explained that I had a booking and would like to see if I could check in early . He asked me my name which I told him and he seemed  bit flustered and disorganised  he then asked me if my name was Angela and then preceded to ask how I had booked.  I gave him this information and he replied I don't use booking.com at this point I was very angry as I had received no contact regarding my booking. The man was very unprofessional and unhelpful. 
He never once apologised or offered any assistance what so ever.

If you have made bookings for the future then beware it might not be legitimate


Disaster! AVOID

Stayed in this hotel , lovely staff and you pay for what you get, and really cheap too stay couldnt recommend a better staff called danny he went out of his way to make our stay extra special even gave us his number to contact number if we had any further questions
