I was looking for a last minute availability near bath for my kids and I to stay in for 3 days.Only 10 minutes away from bath town.The cottage was an amazing and cozy 2 bed room with 2 bathrooms and a nice bath and shower with a smart kitchen area and a lovely lounge and dinner table.Both nights and mornings were quiet and peace full in addition to an amazing breakfast for both me and my kids and plenty of near by restaurants such as the hare and hounds to eat at (only about 10 minutes away).Helen made us feel very welcome introducing us with her horses that she has.What an amazing holiday me and my children had thank you Helen!

amazing location!

I usually do not give top marks easily but this place deserves them all.
Wonderful structure where you will feel welcome and not economically abused.
Welcoming staff and easy to find place where you always will find someone ready for you.
The rooms are so cozy that you do not want to leave the bed in the morning; beddings are luxury quality.
Breakfast served in the room so abundant you will not have lunch later on during the day.
Always the perfect temperature in the room with the heated floor.
The structure is between Bath and Bristol and with 15 Min by car you could reach any of them.
Bath is a breathtaking city with wonderful views, while Bristol is a vibrant young city full of history, culture, architecture, fin and food.
In 1 hour by car you can reach Stonehenge.

There is One BIG BAD THING ABOUT BRITTONS FARM; you have to leave at the end of your holiday 😊

The best place I have ever been

Beautiful establishemnt, old traditional manor house! Absoluetly exceeded expectations. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very spacious in design. The staff are overly friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely Stay

Charming English B and B .  The cottage at Britton’s farm was the perfect stop over for three nights for my husband and I plus our little pony mad daughter .  We spent a lot of our time walking the grounds and visiting the three miniature ponies, much to my daughters delight !  The accommodation was clean warm and contemporary, breakfast was one of the best we have ever had whilst staying away. We loved the white company bubbles and all the little extras provided . Thank you Helen and staff for making our stay so memorable Lola hasn’t stopped talking about the ponies and zip wire, we will be back !

Brilliant

We arrived a little late with a very tired young baby to be greeted by a polite lady who showed us to our room and helped us with our bags and belongings. After settling in we were in need of something to eat the lady advised us that there was a lovely pub restaurant but we didn't want to go out with a tired young one so was advised that there was a supermarket within 10 minutes drive. The room was very clean and had a separate living area all on the same level away from the main house which is what we loved as it meant we could relax knowing that our young child would not disturb other guests with her crying. all the beautiful white linen smelt so fresh and unstained we had a peaceful nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. We had breakfast which was cooked to a high standard and delivered on time by the same lady we had met the previous evening nothing seemed to much trouble for any of the staff we met. I will certainly be recommending to my family and all my friends it is such a lovely place to stay and the room we had was fantastic and very well suited for families with young children.

A Lovely Family Setting

What a lovely country bed and breakfast set in beautiful surroundings. The room was spotless and all linen was fresh and clean. All the staff were polite and very helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delivered on time. Will definitely recommend to friends and family, what a refreshing change from the city centre hotels

We have just come back from a 2 night break here.  What can I say, apart from  - this place is awesome!!
We stayed in the Master Suite, at the top of the main house, we couldn't fault it.
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the courtyard, both mornings, in the sunshine, it was perfect.  'Eyes bigger than belly', springs to mind, with this breakfast!  😉
Karen and Julia, were the perfect hostesses.  Thank you for making our weekend away, perfect.

Awesome!!

Was looking for a picturesque place outside of Bath for a second night stay, I found this absolute gem. The estate is full of character, the rooms are high class modern with the right balance of rustic and contemporary. Navigate out of two country lanes, you find yourself on the main road back in to Bath. Location was perfect, and the venue too. Will be returning again soon. 

Stunning...

We were booked in for a 4 night stay in the master suite for a joint birthday trip away. We arrived 15 minutes later than we had advised due to traffic delays, to find no one around to meet us, hubby phoned Helen who said to go on in, the house was open and the key in our door. We have never arrived at a b&b to not be met by someone and it was a bit disconcerting to not know if there was anyone else in the house. The room initially looked gorgeous, until you look a bit closer.

* no smoke alarm in the room
* there was deep dust on the headboard 
* one of the wall mounted bed lights wasn’t working
* one of the freestanding bedside lights wasn’t working
* evidence of previous occupants on the floor - “30” confetti 
* fridge wasn’t plugged in and no fresh milk
*.chipped cups
*biscuits weren’t topped up
*.tiles in bathroom need regrouting, some areas haven’t any at all
* plastic lid on the floor under the sink
* one of the towels had a hole in it and others were straggly
* Bins weren’t emptied all week
* no radio in room, as stated on website
* no access to sky movies in room, as stated on website
* no access to the internet, asked staff the following morning about this, were eventually given the correct login 
* room was unbearably hot day and night, no way to alter the controls

We waited in our room for nearly half an hour on our first morning for our breakfast to arrive, my husband went downstairs but couldn’t find anyone, so we waited a bit longer. Finally we both went down to be met eventually by two members of staff who didn’t know who we were or which room we were in, so we had to wait for our rushed breakfast and opted to eat downstairs. The entrance area is full of dead flies, which wasn’t cleaned all week, we could also see cobwebs from the chairs to the vases on the table!

The rest of the week we had breakfast brought to our room, but there was no consistency to the cooking from one day to the next.

This house offers so much and the website paints a lovely picture, however there is very much a lack of attention to detail. It is very much evident that the accommodation comes second to the farm.

Could be so much better

My partner booked a 1 night surprise stay for me. The setting and building itself is incredibly beautiful! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who did not know which room we should be initially could not find our booking. This was sorted pretty quickly but not a great start and afterwards the owner was quite cold and rude towards us. We arrived in the room which initially looked great however it is in serious need of a deep clean. I am not normally too fussy about dust here and there but this was much worse than that. The floors were filthy, thick dust in very easy to reach places, bathroom had mould and other guests hairs and the overall cleanliness was just not up to "5*" standards. My partner approached the owner to make some comments however was very quickly shut down. He said it seemed that she is not open to constructive criticism and is very set in her own ways about the property. Overall we did not feel very welcome and found that the owner could learn a thing or two about hospitality. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. 

I do not think we would come back to this property. Although the pictures make it look like a lovely place to stay the experience we had suggested otherwise. It seems like it is very hit and miss. If I could give any advice, get a new front of house and a new cleaner!
