We attended for a camera club dinner the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was extremely good beer was great. The breakfast was first class freshly cooked with great produce
I can highly recommend this place. I just hope the club book it again next year

Stayed in a nearby cottage with friends for the weekend in February, went in Saturday afternoon and a few of us had a sandwich which were all really nice, had a few drinks and the staff were so friendly, we booked a table for Sunday lunch and wow it was beautiful, the staff remembered us when we walked in on the Sunday and they all made us feel very welcome. I will definitely return later in the year when I am back in the area for another little break. Lovely pub, gorgeous Sunday lunch, lovely warm fires and very friendly staff.

Wonderful experience - nice spacious environment so didn’t feel noisy or overcrowded on a Sunday lunch time, staff very pleasant greeting and helpful, food quality fresh hot and full of flavour.

Really friendly staff, sat in the bar area which was really cosy with a log burner, have returned several times as the food is always a really good standard and caters for gluten and dairy free which suits us really well as most places don't even know what dairy free means! Will continue to return here thanks!

Excellent food, drink and menu choice.  Spacious dining area. Friendly staff. Individual sauce bottles, not these little annoying sachets. Must visit. Ample car parking, accommodation available. Local beers.

Another great Sunday lunch . meal was first class  first class service from friendly staff  tables are still well distanced drink and food reasonably priced   The staff are always pleasant and helpful . The blueberry cheesecake was delicious 

A really welcoming pub with great food. Our food and drinks were promptly served, food piping hot and very well presented. I had fish and chips and my friend had the steak pie. Puddings were really lovely too,  I had the chocolate brownie and my friend had the chocolate orange cheesecake. We found all the staff here were attentive, polite and super efficient. We really enjoyed our evening. I highly recommend this pub in every way. Thank you very much for an enjoyable evening. We will be sure to tell all our friends and families and will be returning. 

This place was recommended to me and we thought we'd try it out.  We weren't disappointed.  Booking a table online was easy.  My husband and I went today for a Sunday lunch.  We were given a friendly greeting and sown to our table where a drinks order was taken.  The drinks were quickly brought and a food order taken.  We both opted for the beef Sunday lunch but the small portion. It came on a hot plate and the food was piping hot and delicious.  There were 3 slices of beef, a portion of stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots, roast parsnips, broccoli and a Yorkshire pudding.  We had more than enough on our plates.  We decided to have a dessert because we could not that we needed it!!  I had apple crumble with pouring cream and hubby had a waffle with salted caramel ice cream and lashing of toffee and chocolate sauce.  Both desserts were delicious.  The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. A great meal and great value too we can't wait to go back.

Not visited for a while, however will be returning very soon. Lovely Sunday lunch, Lite Bites such a good idea, I wish more restaurants & pubs offered this option. Hot plates & food, such a rarity these days. Steak Pie & Salmon fishcakes, both very tasty meals. Puddings were far too good, need a long walk to get rid of the calories. Service was excellent with very friendly and efficient staff.

Fantastic food. The staff were brilliant. We came for Sunday lunch and wow it was amazing. I had homemade butternut squash pie which was outstanding. Portion sizes are so good, Dog friendly which was great for us bringing our gorgeous pooch. I will be coming again. Thank you for a brilliant Sunday lunch👍
