What was good

Staff were friendly, attentive remember that the hotel has recently reopened following COVID-19 closure, so the number of guests was minimal. The hotel was central with a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bath The restaurant staff were helpful courteous and flexible. Breakfast was a mix of different options some brought in some cooked on site but presented in packed meal style brown bag and had to be taken in our room.

What was bad

This was once a grand hotel that now requires some tender love care maintenance and refreshing. Reception we’re going to charge me £15 for parking. I challenged this as my booking confirmation stated parking available but made no reference to over night parking fees. The signs in the car park, which is privately managed, made no reference to fees. I was not charged.
