Pleasant stay and cosy, comfortable hotel in good location

Good hotel, so close to the bus station, but neither the staff or the owner ever to be found in the lobby, makes it hard to answer few of our questions.

There's a bit of noise from the street but otherwise this is a decent budget hotel in a good location. We had their traditional breakfast and I especially enjoyed the good crusty bread. Bathroom was small but adequate. The room was not overheated which I appreciated.

Family-owned  

This hotel is not clean. When I speak like this - I mean that it was the most dirty and dusty hotel in my life. I didn’t sleep 1 night well because of bugs in my bed.

Maybe, one day before it was a nice place but now people stoped to care about this place.

In some parts of this hotel is so deep bad smell that I have to close my nose and pass this places in hurry up.

Need to clean this place, throw trash and wash everything inside. In this situation this place can become good again. 

Dirty, dust, smell and bugs!

The best of this hotel is the family that runs it, especially the young, keen, kind and nice woman. Although her English level is limited, she was very helpful and did all possible so that we had a good stay. She also helped us to arrange a taxi to go to Miletus and Priene and negotiated with the taxi company on our behalf (we paid 50 EUR for the whole private tour).
The hotel's location is very good within Selçuk in case you are here to visit Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis and other sites. You can even walk to the old city of Ephesus despite being 4 Km away from the hotel. This property is also quite close to the train station (15 minutes on foot maximum) and has several dining options nearby.
Our room was room #8, which had a balcony with a partial view of Tahsin Basaran Street. It was clean, but small (ca. 12 sq. meters) and not very nice (the furniture and the curtains were quite tired). There was free-wifi, air-conditioning, heater, a small flat screen TV, a mirror, and a narrow wardrobe. However, there was neither a desk nor a chair. The bed and the pillows were comfortable, while there was also a kind of "decorative" curtain headboard over it.
The ensuite clean bathroom was small. Nevertheless, the tiles, both on the floor and on the walls, were renovated and well-maintained. Now it would be a great plus if the hand basin and all water taps were also renovated, while some new towels would be appreciated too by the customers.
Concerning the breakfast included in the price, it was a basic Turkish breakfast with an omelette, which the young woman prepared after asking if we preferred a boiled egg or an omelette (I was really happy to hear her asking about it instead of serving a boring boiled egg, as other hotels do).
All points considered, this is a 2* or 2,5* hotel. However, this family (and especially the young woman) was so keen and attentive that it deserves a 3 point rating.

Very keen and helpful staff

We stayed at Dreams because we needed somewhere to stay in Selçuk before we visited Ephesus the next morning. 

It was well-priced and well-located and the breakfast was nice. It was very close to the bus stop and train station. It only took about ten minutes to Ephesus.

The room was a bit small but it did have a balcony. The bathroom flooded when you showered which was frustrating. 

Fine for a stopover

In a word, it is a disgusting hotel. Don't be fooled by the other 5-point comments and scores, the owners write reviews for themselves. They have such nasty and unsympathetic business owners that they even attempt this. The hotel rooms are dirty and there is a strong smell in the rooms. The beds are mouldy.

DISGUSTING HOTEL

This hotel is overpriced and the photos are deceptive. The room was dusty and dirty, the bathroom minuscule and the advertised balcony was tiny and overlooked a wall and a car park. The stairwell is dark and musty and one has to toil up the stairs with luggage as there is no lift and no assistance.
We didn’t bother staying for breakfast, we just needed to get away from the place.
