Nice room recently renovated, very clean, nice and helpful staff, great location, warm shower and hot water in the kitchen.On the downside, kitchen not very well equipped, missing door in the shower and it was saying breakfast included and there’s none. Internet was not working. Still good value for the price.

Great place for the price

I was there in august 2018, nice and clear hotel, friendly stuff,  nice room, clean, good position, the breakfast tasty. My only problem was the parking, because Akcay is full in the season and this hotel has a small parking.

Unforgettably comfort

Stayed at this hotel for 6 days and nights in Aug 2016. I was accompanied by my wife. I read the reviews, saw the photos posted on booking.com and since the price was too good to pass (under 50€ per night ONLY!) I booked it. We both loved our stay at Citkoylu. The hotel is located in the north part of Akcay (where the most fun is). Getting to it by car will not be easy for the 1st time, but once you get used to the roads around it (used my Microsoft Lumia's 950 map only twice to get to it) you won't be needing your gps to find it again.
For: It's cheap for what it provides, the rooms are big and spacious, same goes for the bathroom as well. They are VERY clean, no bad smells or odours anywhere around it during our stay. WiFi signal is strong, AC works as it should, bed (we got a double) is fine. The small fridge did it's job very well as well. The road noise is shut out and we didnt have any problems sleeping during the night. Lighting, water (quantity and quality), wardrobe deserve an honorable mention too. Lot's of parking spaces (but need to double park sometimes cause it was busy).
So-so: Breakfast isn't wow but isn't bad either. Lack of english speaking peroconnel (Fatma and a boy that was related to the hotel owner came to the rescue several times, they helped us with everything we asked for). Citkoylu is only 2 minutes walk from the beach (there are better in the area but if you need to cool off its good enough. Just dont go deep).We were given a better room at first, but the balcony door lock was broken so we had to move to another which was still very good. There is a balcony, but its really small. Only good to check car and dry wet clothes.
Against: There is only 1 thing I can think of that I didnt like about it and it's the room cleaning service. During our 6 days stay they only cleaned our room once, the 2nd day. So, since we were having a shower every day, we were missing clean towels and body soap / shampoo.
Both me and my wife are full of awesome memories from this hotel (and all the places we visited that are in its vicinity). Will most definitely be using it again as our base for excursions the next time we go back, only this time accompanied by our children.

Incredible value, awesome Hotel

Never ever again. Teribble service and not solution oriented staff. We booked a room with a balcony at hotels.com but we got a room without balcony. The manager told us that there are only 4 rooms with balcony and they are full. We could never understand why they put wrong info on the hotels.com but mostly how hotels.com allows it. After long arguing we got a room with a balcony after 2 days ( we checked in for 5 days). Our first room was in the first floor and it was very noisy. In the middle of night we heard talking from reception. They swithced off the lights during nights and very disturbing to find the room. They never cleaned our room at all. Rooms had smell from sewer system ( we stayed in two different rooms and our parents also complained about the smell). In The breakfast area, there was sign for non-smoking. It was a closed area with windows. The owners smoked, guests smoked when we warned them they told it is fine to smoke because we can open the windows! It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside in Turkey. Very worst experience!!!
