Originally booked for five days but liked it so much decided to stay for two weeks. Fantastic location away from the hustle and noise of Pai. Our hosts John and Gayna couldn't have done more were very helpful and informative. Highly recommended 

Outstanding two week stay at The Quilins

We had an amazing time staying here!  Breakfast was delicious. It's out of town a bit which is really nice, the pool was awesome, beds were comfy and bathrooms clean. We wish we could have stayed longer, the dogs are to die for, the place was really nice, and we really enjoyed their company, they treat you like family! Will definitely come back if we're in Thailand again! 

Best place to stay in Pai! 

Pai Poshtel

Please do read below, but in brief: fantastic accommodation in a idealistic, rural setting owned by the most genuine, kind, attentive, fun couple we had the pleasure of spending time with during our 4 days at their 'Poshtel'.

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our trip to Pai and had a fantastic time. John and Gaynor, an English couple who own the property, were truly amazing and went above and beyond! We arrived and received a very warm welcome from them both; relaxed, friendly and good humour. We stayed in the newly established 'Poshtel' which is part of the Quinlins compound. The private, double room we stayed in was spacious, very clean, had a large bed and fan with garden / pool view. The shared bathroom is also brand new and very clean. The grounds themselves are lovely - really well kept with a swimming pool, sun loungers and a shaded seating area (with hammocks) and a fridge stocked with beer and soft drinks! The atmosphere is relaxed and trusting - exactly what we hoped for and far exceeded our expectations! Gaynor was so helpful on our first morning and gave us a map, adding in recommended bars and restaurants and talked us through best routes to get to where we were headed. Extremely helpful! Pai is notoriously great for motorcycling/riding mopeds and I highly recommend hiring one. Being a novice rider myself, (not really ridden before other than 'a few goes' in car parks in my teens - I do hold a full driving licence for cars in the UK so 'road smart'...depending who you ask) John went above and beyond and took me into town to pick out a moped to hire from a vendor he knew well, put the bike on the back of his van and took us back to the property. He then showed me the ropes safely at the 'Poshtel' and allowed me to venture out and get some road experience (the roads are accommodating for moped riders of all abilities) before me taking my girlfriend as a passenger. Can't thank john enough for his help on this as gave us the freedom to explore many of the incredible spots in Pai. My girlfriend unfortunately fell unwell for a day, and both John and a Gaynor were so helpful and caring ensuring she got what she needed to get her back on the mend. There's a BBQ onsite and one evening myself and other guests of the Poshtel (dorms and private rooms alike) hired it out having a great evening by the pool - an evening not to be forgotten! The vibe is very friendly and welcoming so would suit solo travellers, couples and groups alike. There's no 'pressure' to be involved but the atmosphere is one that naturally gravitates guests to interact and form friendships during their stay. This certainly was the case for us and hope our experience in that area is continued for future travellers at this truly fantastic spot in Pai. 
Thanks once more to John and Gaynor for all their help, they really helped make this trip one we won't forget!

Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful setting

I shouldn't really tell anyone about this gem of a place,because then it might be booked up next time I want to go to Pai.....And from now on,I wont stay anywhere else.....Set among beautiful farmland,....Only four detached chalets(which are immaculate) which means that the huge pristine swimming pool is never crowded....me and my girlfriend had it to ourselves  the two days we were there...delicious American/English breakfast in the morning,not surprising as the owners are catering professionals...Plus ,they own the biggest dog in Thailand....He is called Blue,and  is actually an elephant dog......

far more than i expected-what a place!

lovely accommodation. So clean and pretty new. However you Have to have a ped to get anywhere near Pai for those who are not planning on driving. If you are though it's only 15 minutes by ped to town. Awesome breakfast and really hospitable hosts John and Gaynor were real nice to us. Lovely pool also. :) 

Lovely pool, very hospitable 

This place is isolated which is precisely why we booked it, few days chilling by the pool in nice scenery etc etc. 

Although there is no staff there, the pool is filled with river water and you are basically left to sort yourself out day and definitely night.

The pool is straight up river water, not what you see in the pictures of this place. Supposedly due to a drought which is fine but don't try and sell it off as crystal clear water in the pictures if its not like that when guests are booking. 

The rented a bike and heading up but on our arrival back at night the entire place was pitch black. If we did not have our phones then we wouldn't even have found our room.

The only saving grace was Conner who was "looking after" the place. He was great with us and after one night at the Quinlins we moved nearer to town to his place. 

The issue i have with this place is that i feel like the owner goes back home in off season which is fine but its not fine to cut the service and cut the standards but yet still pass it off as the same establishment when its couldn't be any far from the truth. It makes your customers feel cheated

Don't go in off season!!!!
