7 reviewsWe really enjoyed our stay at Sunanta. The bungalow was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with good air-con and fan. The terrace/balcony overlooks a lovely little garden and the other bungalows (8 in total, so nice and quiet, 2 of which were rented by people working on Lanta), and is set back from the main road, off a little dirt road that goes from the road to the beach. Some of the other bungalows had another terrace at the back facing towards the beach and sea - ours didn’t, but did have an extra room that faced that way - no furniture in there though. Perhaps could be used as an extra room for families if they added a bed? Wifi good enough, and the bed comfortable enough, although harder than I would prefer personally, as is usual for Thailand. The owners/staff there are really nice - they organised scooter hire for us, although unfortunately couldn't find us semi-autos - they're a little hard to come by on the island it seems. It was nice not to have to leave passports or licences with them as a deposit. Everyone always ready with a smile, and kept the place clean and tidy. It's well placed at the end of Khlong Khong Beach, and an easy walk to some great food/bars in either direction. Highly recommend Kunda Vegetarian on the main road for amazing food even if you're not a veggie (we're not!) - bit expensive my Thai standards but so worth it - check out their reviews on Tripadvisor. Thai Smile very good for Thai food, & Lanta Meeting Point on the beach great for sunset cocktails. The beach isn't great - long and pretty enough, but hard underfoot as it's more shells and dead coral than sand, and with quite a few rocks, too. There are many more beautiful beaches heading south though - we spent half a day at Khlong Jark which was gorgeous. All in all we had a lovely, relaxing time there, and considered it good value for money - we'd stay there again if we returned to Khlong Khong.
