So, this is a tough one to rate, really. Some parts are excellent, some are very good and others less good. But my rating is in relation to what we paid for the experience (which was on par with many larger spa-experiences). 

I will start with the excellent one, the place is super cosy, so much energy has gone into creating a restful and quiet spot and they have really succeeded. If you want a quiet getaway with a loved one, this is definitely the place with so much traditional atmosphere - also in the middle of nowhere with beautiful scenary all around you.

Also nice were the beds, we slept really well, the breakfasts were very excellent and the service surrounding it perfect. We didn't have any complaints at all. Lunch and dinner were also nice and very carefully presented and thought out. For me the wines are overpriced. Especially the wine package that goes with the 3 course meal. I would not choose that again for 375 SEK. It is way overpriced, go for a glass of white and a glass or red and save yourself near to 200 SEK. 

So, why do I really dip down to 3 stars? First of all the rooms, though comfortable are fairly small, no cleaning during our two nights stay. There was no TV in the room. If it is a B&B I can accept this, but it says "hotel", so a TV would have been nice. Also there wasn't a TV anywhere. It would have been nice with a little "tv-nock" to cozy up in front of. 
Another reason is that the wifi was slow. Some rooms seemed to have a bottle of complimentary sherry, others, like ours, didn't. When we were to leave the computer didn't work so instead of paying with credit card, we had to take an invoice in the mail, which was a small inconvenience.

So, when it adds up, this is a very charming couples - or group - getaway, but you will have to create your own activities, especially in the winter. But for those with "romantic intent", you will not be disappointed.

Celebration for a Birthday  

Indeed a very good hotel. We had a especially delicious  dinner in the elegant restaurant. Our stay  couldn't be better except for the fact that the bathroom needs a renovation. The environment is exceptional. Don't miss to go to northeast Skåne when in Scandinavia!

Excellent hotel and restaurant

This boutique hotel is really lovely. It's a bit off the beaten track in rural Skåne, Sweden, situated a couple of hundred metres from a beautiful lake. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our room was comfortable and with en suite bathroom. We did not mind the absence of a television. The in-room wi-fi signal was very weak but ok in the public areas. The food was excellent as was the very helpful staff. Breakfast which is included in the room price was outstanding, buffet style in a small kitchen. A place one wishes to go back to one day. Very recommendable.

Quiet serene retreat ....

We stayed for 2 nights as part of out Swedish tour; the first nights meal in the restaurant was excellent although unfortunately there was a business meeting being held in the bar beneath our room and as the floors and walls are rather thin (this is a barn conversion) we could hear everything being said which rather kept us awake. Our room was tiny and without a television; the bathroom was basic with only a bath - no shower. Breakfast the first morning was average but I think the business patrons had beaten us to it....... Anyway the staff here were lovely and very helpful  making suggestions of places for us to visit one of which was Wanas, not very far away, very easy to find and an extremely enjoyable experience of Art, stately home & gardens. Dinner the second evening was not as good as the first which was a shame but we slept well and had a better breakfast the next morning. Before checking out we walked to the nearby lake which is a beautiful location.
