No words to explain. It’s amazing place to stay for anyone. Because there owners are very friendly for everyone. It’s very safe and good environment place to stay any person. Very good service. If someone can’t go out they can make very quality and reasonable price many kind of foods.5mintes away from beach. Walking distance to beach. So besst place to stay if someone long term or short term. It’s good place

Beautiful,safe and scenery place with restaurants

We were extremely disappointed in our stay @ White Villa. Sadly the owner announced to us that he was terminally ill in the first hour of arrival.We assume this was why he did not give us any helpful information about the area
The dogs he owned were put out side the gate each night right under our room and barked and howled all night.
The room we had was very sad and needed a bit of an update,the mosquito nets around the bed were torn and grubby, 
& the lighting was so dull it was difficult to read.the bathroom was shabby and the sheet on the bed had holes in it
It is beyond me as to how this property gets top rated on booking.com where we were led to believe it was the perfect accomodation.Quite the opposite it turned out to be a very disappointing last week on our 3 week holiday,sad as Sri Lanka is a beautiful island and we were looking forward to a relaxing time at Unawatuna.

We arrived early at Unawatuna, not knowing if our room would be available. But we were greeted warmly by Niloosha and showed straight away to our apartment. The owner Wolfram was soon present showing us how things worked and where switches were. But our stay was made most pleasant by the owners...they are really friendly and helpful...and Niloosha, his lovely Sri Lankan wife, cooks as good a meal as you'll find in any of the restaurants of Unawatuna. And at a better price, Thoroughly recommended and just a short tuk-tuk or walk away from the centre.

Surrounded by jungle, but only 10 minutes walk to the beach!

This modern but traditional style guesthouse is located in a quiet spot, a stroll up the hill from Unawatuna beach and with access to lovely Jungle Beach.  We stayed in one of three apartments, each very different in size and style.  Ours was very spacious, albeit a little dark but this meant it was reasonably cool, assisted by ceiling fans.  The beds came reassuringly with square full size mosquito nets.  Guests have the opportunity to meet each other over breakfast of fresh tropical fruits, curd and kithul syrup (optional) with a choice of breads and jams, tea or coffee in the delightful 1st floor open sided terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding trees and coconut palms.  The hosts are very attentive wishing to ensure the comfort of their guests and speak both English and German.  You really feel like one of the family.  Optional services available include washing clothes and home cooking.  Not to be missed is dinner of choice from freshly sourced ingredients and we can heartedly recommend the lovely local cuisine.  Free Wifi is available to guests.  Security is by locked gates at night (guests have key) and secured guard dogs who bark at strangers (hence the security) but soon get used to you, though they do get excited when it’s time for walkies!  I loved hearing the feint chanting on the wind from the distant peace pagoda each morning.  Heartedly recommend this family run establishment and would love to think I’m returning.

Happy guesthouse where you feel safe and secure

The villa has 3 apartments and is set amongst a jungle habitat. Our 2 bedroom apartment was enormous, albeit a little dark, but cool. No AC, but there are fans and wifi.  It is run by a German gentleman and his Sri Lankan wife. They are extremely helpful and her cooking is not to be missed. Apart from all the amenities of Unawatuna, there is also the option of walking the other way to Jungle Beach. Its a lovely hilly walk to a small beach with good snorkelling and a laid back little restaurant.  I would not recommend the villa for those who want an anonymous 5 star hotel, because you are part of the family here.  If you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads, White Villa is a good option.  I look forward to returning to my tropical fruit breakfasts on the terrace surrounded by coconut palms and wildlife.
