The owner of the Lobster (Dinish) can’t do enough to help and speaks good English. Rooms are basic but clean and there’s a nice relaxed vibe. The garden in front of our room was lovely with lots of plants and flowers. Very close to the beach with a couple of nice restaurants/bars where you can watch fishermen bring in their nets. Great place to kick-back and relax for a few days.

Been at Lobsters Inn in Trinco Upaveli Beach in Jan 23 and it was amazing. The rooms are clean and the beds are cozy. The host and his brothers are running this accommodation in a most friendly way! Furthermore the hostel does have everything you need for a relaxing stay like AC conditioning, own kitchen for cooking, hammocks and a terrance in front of every room. Beach is 100m around the corner. There are also many restaurants and little shops neraby where you can get almost everything!

Dreamy garden complex right next to the beach. 
Nice spacious rooms with everything you need (clothing rack, AC, towels). The host was perfect.

Nice place to stay in trincomalee 

Dennis the owner was polite and friendly. My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 weeks during Corona season and there were very few other guests. The garden is well maintained. The kitchen is a little small but it's still great to be able to cook and put food in the fridge. Bike rental was no easily arranged. Thankyou!

Nice place. Close to beach.

Kenny the manager could not have been more accommodating and kind to us. He let us park our rickshaw inside the grounds without an issue and even gave us some of his homegrown aloe Vera leaves after we got sunburned!! Lovely hotel with comfortable rooms and reliable wifi. 

The perfect stay

We booked for 2 nights stayed 4 in part due to it being so cheap but also because it was a lovely place to stay. Room and bathroom were very clean. 5 mins walk to beach. The owner is an extremely helpful and chatty young man who made us feel very welcome, asked our advice on planting Lavender seeds, not something you get everywhere.

Friendly owner who always tried to make our stay perfect.  

My friends and I stayed here for Christmas 2018 and the place was ideal. We could use the kitchen to cook our own breakfasts and on one night a big seafood feast from the market. The beach is 2 mins walk away and it’s also close to some good bars. I liked the design of the rooms and being able to sit out on the terrace in the evenings. The manager whilst we were there was perfectly nice, but a little odd at times. He left us to ourselves though and we had nonpronlems with the staff.

Funky guesthouse with good facilities and value for money

We received a very warm welcome at the guest house, our room was very clean, new, big and cheap. The garden is lovely and quiet. The beach is just around the corner and there are restaurants and a bar very close by. The owner is a very kind person, friendly and always ready to help. The Wifi is very good and we appreciated the shared kitchen too.  We just wanted to stay in Trincomalee for 2 nights but we end up staying for 5 nights, we loved the place and recommend it to everyone.
