59 reviewsMy husband and I and some friends holidayed in Bentota, Sri Lanka, for three weeks in January 2020. We stayed at The Riverbank Hotel. It was everything we could have wished for. The rooms were large and had very comfortable beds with mosquito nets. There where spacious balconies which overlooked the pool, garden and river. Breakfast was always good. We had a variety of freshly made juices, fresh fruit, etc., and sometimes a typical Sri Lankan breakfast. Although we were staying on a bed and breakfast basis they were happy to cook an evening meal if required. The pool was regularly maintained and very clean. The hotel is run by the most amazing family who were happy to organise trips or transport to the beach, (if we didn’t feel like walking). Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. They went above and beyond to make our stay very special.
