We booked this apartment through booking.com in early January because we wanted to return to Valencia in Fallas.  The transfer offered at the time of booking from Valencia airport to the apartment for 20 euros worked perfectly and we were met at the airport by a helpful and English speaking Valenciano taxi driver who took us to the apartment located in one of the maze of small streets in La Xerea district near to the Cathedral--given the number of road closures and restricted access to areas because of the Fallas this was well worth it and at a very reasonable cost. We had chosen a self check in because of our late evening arrival time and all worked well with some texting beforehand to the apartment's local contact to find out the street door number and code and pin code for the key safe for the apartment itself.

Access to the apartments is up a steep metal open tread spiral staircase and the studio we booked was on the first floor so thankfully this was not too daunting following some practice!  The apartment itself is very well fitted out with a double bed and a double sofa bed visit which are both comfortable.  The equipment in the apartment is new and works well--the only downside is the lack of any instruction booklets for the appliances such as the ceramic hob-- and there is a full set of crockery and cutlery and utensils sufficient for 4 people. 

Valencia in the Fallas is famously explosive and although located in a residential area the apartments are immediately above the casa fallera in the barrrio which means that there was much noise from their preparations and celebrations with band music, disco music and loud fireworks in the street below particularly on the weekend before 19 March from noon until 5 am each day.  The upside was the falla and the ninot in the barrio just a few steps away which won third prize in its category--and this no doubt explained to some extent the the serious partying which followed!

Would we book again? Certainly because of the location and the apartment itself --but not to include this particular weekend.

Explosive stay

This apartment without lift, need to carry the luggage by self to the upstairs. The water heater also not so good, only enough for 1~2 people having shower, and then no hot water. The wifi not working as well.
Also if check in later than 9pm, they added the extra charge.
