Alua Illa de Menorca Hotel

Lovely, spotless hotel! Modern rooms with comfy bed and good sized balcony. Small fridge, kettle and mugs in the room so don’t forget to pack your tea bags and coffee as the hotel don’t supply them. Travelled with friends for a short 3 night break. Wide variety of foods, yes there was pork every night, but there were other meat options in casseroles and stews. We always found something we liked. Salads, pasta, rice, breads. Breakfast was our favourite meal, lots of choice, fresh bread, eggs cooked to order. Snack bar, was basic but we enjoyed ham and cheese croissants and burgers. Drinks were fab, loved that they weren’t in throw away plastic cups which I have had at other all inclusives and the evening drinks were In a proper glass. As it was the end of season the resort was very quiet, only one bar open. Very pretty town, white washed walls and narrow cobbled streets. Evening entertainment was good, some singing acts and an acrobatic act. The animation team were fab! Although we didn’t take part in much they would always acknowledge us and we could see them working really hard. Reception staff were lovely and always very helpful. Refundable 10 euros to hire a pool towel. The pool area was very clean, plenty of sun beds and so peaceful! Only 20 mins from the airport ideal for a short break. Would definitely visit again!
