Great location - seconds away from Gran Via

Rooms are of decent size and very clean - very quiet despite being next to a very busy road 

Staff are friendly but you don’t need to see them very often as you are very independent when you there 

Not cheap - but all accommodation is expensive in Madrid but probably worth it for the location 

Various restaurants and bars in local area

Good stay - great location!

The place is actually clean, decently furnished to guests' convenience. The service is invisible but utterly friendly while attending your requests - always ready to offer help! The location is superb! 

Affordable here means decent

Fantastic location just off Gran vía and in Chueca. 
It’s situated on the 4th floor (lift and stairs) of an old building with lots of character. 
The reception guy was really friendly and was there if you need anything. 
I’d stay again. 


Central and cheap 

We don’t think you can get a more sentral place to stay than this; subway and shops just outside the door. Clean room and sheets and everyday housekeeping. Cosy room with enough hot water and a small bathtub. But best of all is the owner of the place; he really seems to be interested in our wellbeing and provides us with tips of what to see in Madrid. Really a nice guy!

Romantic long weekend for two

Pros:
1. There was no problems with hot water.
2. Good working conditioner.
3. Good and stable WiFi.
4. Water cooler with available water every day at the reception.
5. Dislocation of the hostal.
6. Clean towels and bed sheets.
7. Clean room and hostal area.

Cons:
There were no cons which I would like to notice.

Отличный хостел.

You get what you pay for. And this hostel is in a perfect location for a short stay in Madrid. Close to the most iconic places and easy transport if you go a bit further. The closest train station (Gran Via) was closed for renovations so if you really need a train nearby you better check if that's open then.

Convenient location

The location of the hostel is surprisingly near to the Gran Via metro station which is good because we took the train from the airport being first-timers in Madrid and taking the train was easier to navigate, IMO. Jose welcomed us and he is a nice guy. I am not sure if he speaks good English because we always talked in Spanish but I think he does. He is very pleasant and he helped us with our bags on our last day and kept them until we got back to get them.

People who are light sleepers will have a little problem with the noise down the street because you can hear them even in the early morning. The room is cleaned daily but the bed sheets and towels seems to be a little old and are in need of replacement. The overall look and feel of the hostel is old and could use a little renovation, in my opinion. Overall, with the price we paid and it's location, I think it was well worth.
