Hostal Helena

Hostal Helena 9th floor, Room 10, private room with private bathroom, 2 people. The location of the place is great, very close to the metro station, and crazy close to lots of restaurants and stores. Walking distance from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. The room was simple but very comfrotable, we had a great wifi signal, we had a fan in the room as Madrid was aroud 28 C in September 6th, the bathroom and shower were clean. The hostal is located in the 9th floor which gave us a very nice view of the city (see picture). As others have mentioned the building only has 1 elevator that fits only 4 people (bags included) at a time which defenitely is a time waster as you can literally spend 15 mins waiting for an available elevator to take up or down your bags. They should defenitely have on their page here on booking that checking is on floor 2, that way you dont waste time waiting for the elevator or taking the stairs all the way to floor 9, just to find out you need to check in downstairs.
