The first thing to say about this property is that if you don't like walking/hiking and are not prepared to pay for a taxi to get there or don't have a rented car, do not consider staying at this house. It's a very long, steep walk uphill out of the city. I walked there from the train station with a 11KG backpack and was sweating quite seriously by the time I got there. I saw the funny side of it and saw it as a fitness challenge but others may not view it so. I had communicated the evening before my arrival with a lady who I assumed was a cleaner about being let into the property ahead of check in time and despite them having plans shortly after I would be arriving, we managed to make it work. So I'm grateful to them for not making me wait two hours outside the property until 2pm. The communication I had with owners and staff was very good. The living situation here is a bit odd, I had assumed all the rooms in the house were rented out and that everyone there would be travellers like me, but I think people actually live there full time, which made me feel a bit awkward. The upside to this is that the kitchen is excellent and has everything you could possibly need, and the bathroom is very clean, though this place would probably benefit from a second bathroom when all the rooms are occupied. The terrace was lovely though it was so cold when I was there I only spent brief periods up there to enjoy the views over the city - it has a lovely sunset view. Another benefit of my week-long stay there was the washing machine which is located on the terrace. I was travelling for a month so this was really useful for me. My single room was very cosy and I loved the way it was decorated. The bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of storage space and a nice desk to sit at. It even had a small balcony though the view simply looks onto the street below where you won't see much other than people buzzing around on mopeds or standing around socialising and smoking. If you are prepared for the exercise, I would recommend this property as a great value place to stay in Granada. It doesn't take long to walk to all the main attractions once you get your bearings, especially since it's downhill. It's walking back that takes up the time. By the time I moved onto Malaga, I had thighs of steel.
