First stay for two nights. The hotel is situated in the Plaza de Humedal with some shops below and trees infront of it.

You only see the main glass door on the ground floor. The reception and hotel are basically on the first floor. The friendly owner (she doesn't speak English) was only there for a few hours and you're given a code to access the main front door. I left the key to my room at the reception desk when I left early in the morning.

The hotel is less than ten minutes walk to the Poniente Beach and everywhere within walking distance. It's a 15 minutes straight walk from the hotel to the train station.       

The room and bathroom are good size, bright and clean. The open space reception includes the breakfast area and a seating area. I don't think they're catering  for breakfast at the moment. I had my ear plugs on at night and best to bring your own toiletries.

This is a good central budget hotel and for short stay. There are cafes and restaurants around and further down into the shopping area.

Gabriel who was there in the afternoons for a few hours was friendly and helpful. He spoke a little English. 

Yes, certainly recommended but remember this is a 2 star establishment! 

Good Central Budget Hotel

We decided to go to Gijón to celebrate Halloween and we couldn't have found a better hotel. The staff is friendly and the hotel accepts dogs! The location is as the name suggests, very central and everything within walking distance. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Everything was very white which scared me a little with the dog but we covered everything with blankets we brought from home to minimise the dirt.
Would definitely come again. 

Halloween in Gijon

Small hotel at the edge of Gijon central district. Occupies 1st floor of the residential building. Rooms are tiny, but clean. A guy at reception was extremely helpful and proud of their city. No parking onsite, but they give you directions for a cheap gated lot in 10 mins walk. There is also a good coffee shop around the corner to have a breakfast.

We stayed three nights on our Spain adventure.
From previous reviews, of rooms etc they are all correct.
The best part was the bus station outside, that we used to get around
the city sites.
The staff were most helpful.
They offer breakfast, which we took, but was basically a 
continental. though pleasant, better value and options are  available close by.
Go to botanical gardens.Get directions from reception.

central location

Just stayed for two nights, and cannot give this place enough credit. Very clean & tidy rooms, and young Ivan is a gem. Nothing was too much trouble, amazing!! He should be cloned and sold to all hotels as the standard!! If you are in Gijon this is the place to stay.

Not to be missed!!!

We stayed here for 2 nights to watch La Vuelta.
The hotel is in a quiet square with ample room to walk a dog on grass close by. There are cafes outside the door. We parked easily and free on a nearby street space as we were there on a public holiday, but parking might be an issue other times? 

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful despite our lack of Spanish and theirs of English we got along just fine. There is a stair lift for those with mobility issues and a place to store wheelchair/bike etc on the ground floor.Our little dog was welcomed like royalty.  

Would definitely return any time, both to the hotel and to Gijon.

2 star acts like 4 star and welcomes dogs too

From the small front door, hidden behind some trees, you wouldn't expect to find such a lovely hotel with light, relatively spacious rooms.  The whole place is beautifully decorated with an understated elegant touch.  The staff are charming and helpful and breakfast, at €6, is excellent value.  It's a short stroll to the beaches and the old town and close to many cafes, restaurants and sidrerias.  Although parking is not available on site, the public parking just across the road is offered at a discount by the hotel.
