These domes are small, fine for one person, but not for sharing. The units echo and if one person moves or makes a noise the other person is disturbed by the echo.
It is not really a self catering place, as it would be impossible to cook a meal in the unit, there is no place or utensils. There is an outside braai, but you have to take your own light and wood. 
We dealt with one person doing the booking, but when the light fell from the roof and the fridge didn't work and we reported it, we were referred to another person, surely the person who did the booking could have sorted it out instead of just sending another number for us to phone, to me this was a huge frustration and smacked of bad service. 
We were also looking forward to having a swim in the pool after a day of meetings but the pool was filthy, so we had to settle for a shower in the tiny shower.

Echo, echo

We enjoyed staying in these petite and clean dome igloo and had a few laughs regarding the echoes in the units.  Very clean and compact and close to the business centre.  Excellent hospitality from our host.  Save parking and a nice braai area.  At night it looks likes something from "The night Garden" our granddaughters favourite TV program.

We booked these because they looked intriguing on the website. However they are different to what is advertised. They are really tiny, with two separate single beds in each dome. There is no space to move.  We booked out both as our daughter was with. Had we not you would not have been able to sleep 3 in a dome as you would walk on the third person. 
They are advertised as self catering, however there is only a microwave and an electric frying pan. No stove, oven etc. not even a dish/casserole to put meat in from the braai or a bowl to make salad. Not even a tin opener.  There is also no space to even put the electric frying pan. The basin takes up the small counter that is there. We had luckily brought our own extension and managed to cook outside. The bathroom is exceptionally small and you bump your head on the wall in the shower due to the dome shape. The ceiling fans are super noisy. The photos of the pool on the adverts are taken from the main house and to get there you have to walk all around the house to the front garden which looks like it’s part of the private residence and not the accomodation. There are no pool towels provided either. 
There is a braai but no outside light so you braai in the dark. The other issue is that it borders the main road which constantly has traffic going up and down all hours. For a light sleeper this is a problem. NB there are a lot of mosquitos so take repelant with.
It is however close to the mall and there is a Spar around the corner. The area seems safe enough with no issues.
In closing for four mates looking for an overnight stay this would work and if you planned on eating out.

Gnome dome homes

It is an unforgettable experience due to its uniqueness. It is extremely clean and well maintained. The room has all the necessities. The host is very accommodating and friendly. There are beautiful relaxation areas over looking the gardens.

A Home away from Home

Super clean, wonderfully accommodating and interesting owner, very special room décor including antique furniture made by the master-craftsman owner with many charming touches. Nice patio. We were made to feel at home--very welcoming.
