From the moment we walked and were welcomed to DK Private Villa, it felt like entering paradise. Received a warm welcome from our host and chef Neil. With the modern touch of the interior to the music playlist just sets the mood for the mouth-watering 4 course meal to play itself. The decor flows from one end to the next and is awe-inspiring indicative with a modern zest that leaves you breathless for the views. When it comes to the meals, this is where my culinary experience started. Started off with artisan bread freshly and homely baked with the aromas that you just want to follow, to the butternut soup that just washes down perfectly with the bread. 2nd course was an array of a cabbage salad and cheese, enjoyed every hand picked piece. Moved onto the 3rd course as the music allowed us to and Neil being attentive, we started with the Lamb Fillet and baked potatoes. To end off we had a mixture of berry sorbet that tantalize the tastebuds bringing everything together. Thank you Neil!

we were lucky enough to spend a few nights at dekeldersretreat.  neil made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived till we left.  the attention to detail in the rooms and throughout the house was stunning and the 4-course dinners every night was incredible.  definitely somewhere to return to soon!

Charming, oppulant and welcoming from the minute one arrives.Highly recommendable with great host. A lovely surprising retreat and can imagine what a stay must be like in the whale season. Although a residence , it feels like a boutique hotel with excellent service and friendly staff.

House, guest-rooms and garden - like in any of your favourite design magazines. Top notch, spotless clean and designed with passion.
Food - like in any three-star-restaurant. But litterally in Chef's Living Room.
Walker Bay Nature Reservat - like any breathtaking nature-spots. Endless beaches, dunes, nature at it's best.

Everything combined - a true synthesis of the arts.

My partner and I spent 7 blissful nights in this beautiful home. Everything is of the best quality... exceptional design and attention to detail! Niël is a fantastic host and great chef! We loved every minute! Will be back.

Fantastic holiday

Wish I had more time to appreciate the spacious and peaceful room or to lie next to the pool soaking up the sun and soothing music but nature beckoned and neighbouring towns lay waiting to be explored. 

De Kelders Private Retreat is a smooth blend of elegance, refinement, warmth and comfort.

A must for those who appreciate art, design, music and fine food.
