I have stayed at the property many times, both on my own and with my husband and child. I have stayed in Lemon, Lavender and Lime cottage and also in the guest suite. Lavender is my favourite when visiting with my family and the guest suite is perfect when I’m travelling alone. Nothing is too much trouble for Athol, he’s so welcoming and helpful. I feel very safe staying at the property. Each cottage is very well equipped with everything you would need for your holiday. Beautiful cottages, well kept grounds and a stunning pool. Situated in a fantastic area, with stunning scenery. 5*

Stunning accommodation

We booked Lime Cottage for 6 nights and on the web site the photos it looked great.
BUT we received notification from the owner 48 hours before arrival that the accommodation was double booked!
To be fair Athol organised alternative but it was in Tokai not Constantia 
The single night we stayed clearly demonstrated this was not the quality described 
Cramped site, too much furniture, limited parking and an annoying parrot 
To be avoided unless you are a backpacker or group of lads

Backpackers paradise, but misrepresentation on site

Just back from a seven night stay with a seven man golfing group.  Excellent accommodation & living spaces within the house & lovely gardens & pool area.  Great location in a quiet part of Constantia, but only 10 mins from the nearest restaurants & shops & only 30 mins to places like Hout Bay & V&A waterfront.  Very clean & tidy with daily maid service.  Athol the host was very friendly & helpful & nothing was too much trouble.  Would definitely stay again & recommend to anyone.

We stayed 1 week in le bonheur 

great stay in le bonheur : lime residence

We were warmly welcomed by Athol and shown around.  Lime Cottage exceeded my expectations,  being even more spacious than I had expected.   The quality of the fittings, equipment and furnishings is very high and in particular I liked the well-equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and new but comfortable and homely. 

We slept well as it is very quiet and the security is excellent, something which even if it's perhaps not necessary in Constantia,  is reassuring.

Lime Cottage is within walking distance (20 minutes) of Constantia Village where there is a comprehensive range of shops, services, and restaurants. It is safe to walk during the day and probably even at night, or a 5 minute drive.  There are many other restaurants in the area and it's a few minutes' drive to most of them, including Hout Bay.  There are also lovely walks in the area's green belt. 

Town and Southern Suburbs are easily accessible by good roads and a couple of scenic options.

Athol and Tamara are discreetly around to ensure to ensure guests' well being and we wanted for nothing.  

Le Bonheur also places importance on ecology and uses borehole water and solar electricity where possible, an example that more places should follow.

Truly home from home and luxurious.

I loved staying at Le Bonheur Villa. I stayed longer than anticipated. I originally booked to stay for a few days which ended up being a two month stay. It was perfect for me travelling solo in the Winter months. The bed was most comfortable and the space was cosy. When it rained, i took the opportunity to catch up on some movies on the satellite channel offering. I love taking long walks. Le Bonheur is a stones throw from Bel Ombre Greenbelt which is a beautiful stretch of green grass and trees, ideal for leisurely walks. There are mountain biking  & horse trails and it feels like you are in the countryside but with breathtaking views of the backdrop of Table Mountain and the Constantiaberg. I attached some photos to give every traveller an accurate indication of how lush and green everything is, after the much needed Winter rainfalls the Cape is known for. This brings me to the efforts that my host, Athol has worked hard at achieving a water and energy efficient eco environment to beat the challenges of water restrictions. He has solar heating as well as a borehole, but has also gone to great lengths of informing all his guests by educating them on how to best conserve water and at the same time have an enjoyable vacation. I will be taking some of the tips home that I learned. All in all, my time at Le Bonheur was a memorable experience. I will be recommending this lovely property with its manicured gardens to all my friends and family.

Lovely Winter in Constantia

We planned a last minute family holiday and was very happy that we could be accommodated at Le Bonheur Lemon cottage. We always feel right at home and the fact it is child friendly, makes this the perfect holiday destination. Spoilt with comfort and attention to detail are a bonus. Home away from Home 

We stayed in Lime Cottage for a 3 week holiday in January and our expectations were exceeded the minute we arrived!  Athol (the owner) is a lovely and helpful host and communicated with us at every stage. Before arriving, he clearly explained that Lime Cottage is part of Le Bonheur which is made up of 3 x private cottages and a main villa therefore the pool area would be shared by all guests staying onsite (as you would expect at a hotel). Le Bonheur is located in lovely quiet residential area of Constantia and very safe. Within a few minutes by car you can reach Constania Village (where you have all the main shops / restaurants etc) and wine farms. Lime Cottage was absolutely perfect for the 3 of us and had everything you would expect in a 5 star property. The beds are the most comfortable I've slept in and the kitchen and BBQ area was a dream to cook in. The pool is possibly the biggest asset as it's solar heated so it was like swimming in a warm clean bath every day. Athol the host, is available should you need him for any queries but he never intruded in our holiday one bit. We absolutely loved staying in Lime Cottage and hope to return in 2019!. Wonderful Holiday in Amazing Surroundings

It was a most enjoyable stay. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would gladly recommend it to all our friends and family. The staff were friendly and the cottages were very well looked after and had all the necessary amenities and more. A very enjoyable stay and great experience.
