My wife and I stayed over at 1 Victoria Villa for 2 nights on a Daddy's Deals voucher. The whole booking routine went flawless, thanx to Mai.

We were allowed to book in earlier without any inconvenience and was received y one of the gardeners and taken to our room. According to Mai, Lucy was suppose to check us in,but that didn't materialize. The room was very spacious and we enjoyed our stay very much as we were the only people in the Villa.

The next day we got to meet Mai who is seems to be on top of things and then only we were explained the services they render and what there is to see on the premises, etc. We noticed that there is an on location spa, but didn't get any information on it.

Unfortunately the DSTV didn't work in the room either. The access to the Villa was quite easy even after hours as you can let yourself in.

The Villa however is in need of a bit of maintenance e.g. wet walls, paint peeling of, etc. I would have added an aircon to the room though, but atleast there was a fan.

Overall it was a great stay with very nice views of Llandudno and the sea.

Good Break Away

We enjoyed the view the only issue we had was with the wifi.

It kept on disappearing. The decor was breathtaking when we walked in however we felt more could be done to our room. 

All in all, Mai and her staff were very friendly. Made us feel like family than guests. Our stay was short but the experience was nice.

Affordable luxury

From the outside this house is gorgeous, once inside it looks lovely too, finishings look expensive, it's clean and neat, everything in it's place. But once we looked closer we found so much lacking in our room. Mould on the walls and a constant terrible smell in the toilet along with a toilet door that does not completely close. The room is an open plan layout, which is fine, but the shower door was broken off so it's very cold when in the shower and therefore very unpleasant. The TV was very outdated, no access to any channels and they provide a selection of outdated DVDs. We were booked in for 2 nights but it was so unpleasant that we checked out after the first terrible shower. I'm left with the only positive being the amazing view from our balcony.

Gorgeous on the outside, lacking on the inside!

We booked the villa through booking.com and I felt cheated because the pictures of the rooms where nothing compared to what we saw. The room was plain although spacious. No TV and was not well maintained, the room had no AC no TV although it was advertised to have one. The villa itself is beautiful and has very nice sunset views overlooking the ocean. However a lot of effort should be put in to make guests comfortable. We tried to change rooms because we felt we where sold a dream but we could change only at an extra cost, mind you the room that we where requesting was smaller. 

The furniture is old the kitchen not well kept. We met Mai, she is pleasant and friendly but she could put more effort into her business and making sure that she maintains her villa. Wifi never worked the whole time we wer ther we stayed 5 days.  (It was not by choice).

Go at your own risk, and if you are not looking for anything too comfortable but just a place to lay down your head at night. 😑
 

Sold a dream...


Lacking ☹️😑

We had a very unpleasant experience in this Villa. The villa faces directly West and the room where I was booked was extremely hot.  There was no air conditioner in my room... Just a useless freestanding fan. We had keep the door open until late night with terrible road noice coming from the very busy road right in front of the Villa . When we eventually decided to try and sleep, we tried to lock the door. Surprise surprise,  the door couldn't lock. I really tried everything. 
To top it all, there were no one available in the Villa to ask to come and help with the door so we decided to pack up and go home. 

The next day I contacted them and let them know what had happened. The butler confirmed that the door couldn't lock, but the lady in charge wanted nothing to do with me. She insisted that the door can lock...  Without going into too much further details, I was very rudely told to go and post on TripAdvisor anything I like, but NO money will be paid back to me. It was my decision to leave. 

Anyway, here we are, no money and no romantic breakaway weekend! 
Stay away I say!
