Tropical Sol

This was our 5th visit to the Tropical Sol and it didn’t disappoint. We were in room 6 beside the pool with a large outdoor patio complete with 2 sun loungers. The room was very large with comfortable beds. Bought a few things for breakfast and lunch and the kitchen area was sufficient for our needs. We would go out at night for dinner to Fat Cats but always returned to the Tropical Sol bar to finish the evening. Ruy, hope I spelt that right, and his daughter run the bar and really make you feel at home. I was speaking to another guest one night and discovered we were both celebrating our birthday. Ruy overheard and then supplied us with a complementary shot, cheers mate. There is a snack bar beside the pool but it was closed for our stay, in fact it was opening the day after we left. Rooms were cleaned every day by very friendly cleaning staff. The weather wasn’t great as it was cloudy every day but still very warm. We normally went for a long walk after breakfast along the main road to Aldi then turned right. The strip is 5 minutes away and the old town is about 20 minutes away which we walked to and back one day. We didn’t sit at the poolside very long due to a wind blowing across the pool area but sat at our room which was sheltered but still got the sun. On our last two days it rained constantly so we didn’t go far. One night the rain was so bad we couldn’t go out for dinner so had a crisp bap in our room 😂😂 We will be back but not in March due to bad weather which the Tropical Sol have no control over. As said above this was out 5th visit and we will be back hopefully next year. If you want a nice quiet place to chill then the Tropical Sol is for you. Great staff, great location, bakery, bars and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk. Real treat of a place to stay.
