Just came back from three nights at Arena Island and I can't wait for the next time. I truly did escape... I really did enjoy the privacy and quiet I was seeking. It is remote enough to be away from the world, but close enough to get back in 25 minutes by a quick boat ride. The food was amazing... all assortments of fish, vegetables and fruits from the local area. The island is small enough to walk in 20-ish minutes casually but big enough to get away from anyone and be on your own. I ate in a different location for each meal! One of the best parts was the attentiveness of the staff.... I was blown away by how nice and accommodating everyone was to my family. I also enjoyed fishing off the floating barge(?). Unfortunately, it was the time of year for jellyfish and we couldn't swim, but I could see thousands of little fish swimming around! I did catch a few fish of my own! :) We capped it off by releasing baby turtles back into the sea! What a way to connect with nature (especially for the kids)! Again, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can't wait to bring more of my family back!
